Atleast with the religious argument people could argue priests need to be present in a community due to spirituality/religion, they have a function for Christians. There is no reason to allow your kids near drag queens, they don't provide that spiritual element for anyone. But if you want to invoke the church abuse, thats fine. I always found it so strange people would invoke priests abusing kids as some kind of win against the homophobes.
