Other than the bottom video being really obnoxious, the other big difference to me is similar to how people have disdain for tripfags on 4chan. Making something silly and offbeat without making yourself the centre of attention versus doing something trying to get yourself some e-fame out of it by trying to make something viral where people can go back and point to you as its creator (or worse, you just jumping on a trend trying to be known for it).
