From a letter to Stalin in the spring of 1934 from the Scotsman Harry White (1907-1960), a journalist for the Moscow Daily News, after his Russian partner was arrested in Moscow under the article "Sodomy":

“To Comrade Stalin. The content of my appeal is briefly as follows: the author of this letter, a member of the Communist Party of Great Britain, asks for a theoretical justification for the decision of the Central Executive Committee of the USSR of March 7 on criminal liability for sodomy; the author of the letter, who seeks to approach this issue from a Marxist point of view, believes that the decree is in contradiction both with the facts of reality itself and with the principles of Marxism-Leninism.

Being personally interested in this issue - since I myself am a homosexual - I addressed this question to a number of comrades from the OGPK and the People's Commissariat of Justice, to psychiatrists and to Comrade Borodin, the executive editor of the newspaper in which I work. All that I have achieved is a series of conflicting opinions, which show that among these comrades there is no clear theoretical understanding of what could serve as the basis for the adoption of this law. The main line of defense was built by White around the opposition of capitalism, in which he equated the position of homosexuals with the position of women, "colored races", "national minorities ”and“ other groups that are oppressed for one reason or another ”, and the communist regime, allegedly alien to any form of exploitation.

White did not receive an answer to his letter and was soon forced to leave the country. Despite the attempts made, he was no longer able to return to Russia. On the letter there was a litter by Stalin's hand “To the archive. Idiot and Degenerate "

I fucking hate this argument. At least with Pokemon, I can go back and know that it's the same names every time I play any of the games. A Pikachu will still be a Pikachu. I don't have to go back and relearn different names for the same pokemon over and over again because they decided that their old names are dead now let's not get into names changing when the pokemon evolves, that's not the point. Also, names are always easier to learn in isolation - I'd say that a closer comparison to learning pronouns and shit would be to learning all the different types and the big fuckin table of type matchups. For new players it's a complicated mess learning what moves are effective against what pokemon, especially when you throw in dual-type matchups. It's similar to how trying to learn what the fuck MFTFM transqueer biracial helicopter actually means and how it applies to gender identity is a spiderweb of nonsense to understand.

Not to mention that in order to learn and remember the pokemon's names you have to carry around a Pokedex, a big digital encyclopedia that automatically identifies any pokemon you come across, even ones that are completely unique and were never documented before. If I had a fucking eldritch tome listing all the current names and appropriate terms for every gender/sex/alignment/star sign and their special snowflake variants and was able to use it to identify anyone's pronouns/spirit animal at a mere glance, then I think I'd have an easier time navigating shitholes like Twitter without stepping on fabricated landmines. That of course assumes that I'm not simply brought to a state of pure madness by the constantly shifting and contradictory knowledge that would be contained within such an accursed book.

Women and racial minorities did have legitimate gripes, and maybe its too much to ask people who were typically under educated as a whole to think through the way in which they conducted themselves, but to deny that the impact is not felt today in the modern progressive movement is denying reality. Your telling me that the black liberation movement we see today that argues for reparation's and other special privilege's has no connection to the original civil rights movement? Your telling me that the feminist's movements of the 20th century have no connection to whatever wave of feminism we're on now? Its too early here to wade through your text wall but its pretty normal for something (an idea, a community) to start off good and then get corrupted by others with a different intent. I disagree vehemently with some feminist ideas today (obviously as I am here). Does that mean that I think feminists (and gays and blacks) "went about things the wrong way" back in the 60s and 70s? No I don't. They saw things were wrong, and they protested to get change. Although you may think there were better ways they should have "conducted themselves", I don't know if those other ways (whatever they were) would have been effective.
Do I think the transgender lobby hitched their mental illness wagons to successful movements and corrupted them insidiously from the inside? You betcha. They are parasites without any substance of their own
