My primary goal for now is to develop security software and techniques to assist others in resisting oppressive governments. Right now I think I will work on developing a remote viewer software that is highly secure, so that people can run it on compromised systems or servers that are not linkable to them, and access the remote servers through the viewer over Tor, such that if the FBI compromises the remote server on the application layer, they cannot continue the trace back to the local system unless they exploit a vulnerability in the viewer.

Do you know what pbkdf2 is or what the difference is about scrypt that makes it theoretically more secure? Do you know which mode of operation is inferior between ECB CBC CTR and OFB?

Ross Ulbricht offered me root access to SR back when it was still running because he didn't know how to isolate his web server and I did. I turned the offer down though obviously, which is rather unfortunate seeing as the FBI actually did exploit the lack of isolation in order to get the IP address of the server via a leak in the captcha he was using, but it probably is irrelevant considering he fucked up so thoroughly early on. But yeah I was actually in regular contact with him all the way up to right before he got busted, my security skills are significantly superior to his, but of course I didn't try to assist him in any way shape or form because that would be illegal and I never break the law of USA other than for personal use amounts of drugs.

Using Tor and a proxy site doesn't count as "secure," but it's totes adorbs that you think it does. Even better that you A) are openly talking about how you're going to store illegal materials and try to hide it from the FBI, and B) genuinely think that you're going to outsmart the FBI or NSA.

Ross was fairly neutral on the topic of CP, he allowed us to discuss it without censoring it, and at the end of the day I think he was pretty aware of the fact that it isn't magical or anything, he didn't care that I liked JBs or anything, and if he was the lord of the world there is a significant chance he would make it legal to view it.

Defcon certainly didn't give a fuck about people looking at CP.
