Did he not at some point also fundraise for the B&O taxes though? I feel like he did to make an initial payment, and then also had them put on a repayment plan.
I may be mixing them up with the federal taxes, but I thought there was more panic around the initial discovery of the B&O and the new tax guy was immediately brought in to negotiate that.

I guesstimated the B&O taxes at around $5000 total. That may be what he actually put on the credit card. You're right, though, that that's what he was begging for around Christmas time. He had to make payment in January.

Phil having to pay about $60 in fees for $2,000 of fake tips lines up pretty well with a previous post of mine.

So if someone tips him $1.30, he receives about $1 after fees. But if he refunds it, he has to refund the full $1.30, meaning he loses ~$0.30 to cover the transaction fee. With PayPal's 2.9% + $0.30 fee for transactions, if Phil got like 20 $100 fake tips he had to refund, that would be a $3.20 fee he would lose for each $100 transaction, or $64 for all $2,000 he had to refund. Similar to what Phil said in those discord messages.
