US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Wanting to see how reddit would try to rationalize these users getting sacked I tried to Google Biden, weed, reddit and got several posts thinking how Biden would relax weed laws.

So my guess is many.
A ton of his voters genuinely believed he'd bring in a progressive utopia, because he's just "such a good guy". Not realizing he's a neolib, and could care less about what college students want.

You know you have hit a new low when even Turkey is dunking at you, but hey at least Biden is not going to hurt feefees on social media, very important thing, they were not so cocky when Trump was there and they know Biden is weak and they can kick him all they want, he is not going to do anything about it, the reunion with USA-CCP was the Chinese "look at you, your country is embracing communism and now you come here to say communism bad, go fix your shit first before coming here to be sanctimonious idiots"

The worst part is the CCP is right

The leader of the "Free World".

I watched that CCP-US meeting on 1.5 speed (or what we have of it). Blinken does the generic intro and this guy Yang just launches into a 15-20 minute speech telling Blinken why he, his administration and his country sucks cock and has no business interfering in anything China does, followed by that dangerhair doing a really shitty translation. They even use BLM against this guy, telling him to sort the US out first. In the whole 1 hour+ of video, at least 30 mins of it is this rep and the translator telling the US how bad they are. All this guy Blinken can say is more or less "no, that's not true, people like us, and they don't like you".

I know it's bullshit for the camera and that real talks happen behind closed doors, but it was an unbelievably bad showing by this guy Blinken.

I have it on now though of course I cannot understand the Chinese language so it's just so I can see their reactions when the US reps hear the translation. But I have just read through the transcript and I really recommend anyone with quarter of an hour to read it do so. Frankly that's one Hell of a speech from the Director Yang. It's very clear, very firm and a pretty elegant balancing of olive branch and stick. He says that China has and continues to develop from where it was; that they have the support of the Chinese people and hint that more so than the US govt. has of theirs; that they want to work with the US but it needs to back the fuck off from thinking it represents the whole world because it doesn't. Stop criticizing us for our problems when we're making big strides forwards and when your house is so troubled.

Fuck me, the calling out of the US for using invasions to spread its influence in comparison to China's trade-based approach. Why couldn't the cameraman have kept it on the US reps' faces when that was said?

Ah, me - there's too much to just summarise it. Seriously - worth reading it. Director Yang's slap back when Blinken calls him a liar (in so many words) is quite something.

What happens when you spend 4 years demolishing the US and saying your own country is bad. All your moral standing has consequently evaporated. For all he's done, Trump understood that at the very minimum, if you can't trust on your morals, toughness = respect.

China is testing the waters for a return to the Obama-era disrespect for the US (remember when they left Obama hanging on the tarmac?)

Can these fuckers get a blog? Like, shit. We had long form writing for hundreds of years, for the love of God, stop using Twitter like this.

I disagree with 'agent poso' here. I find it incredibly easy to watch. I've watched it a few times now and it still makes me laugh.
I should be horrified but... Iron Throne and all that.

Kinda relieved that Biden won't have too much dignity by the end.

OMG IS TRUMP OLD AND SENILE HE NEEDS TO BE REMOVED
biden falls 3 times in succession
HA HA IM JUST LIKE THAT I FALL ALL THE TIME TOO MOST PEOPLE FALL ON STAIRS ALL THE TIME HA HA

Don't expect any consistency from them. Lord how I've tried to point out these contradictions before. No wonder thete is so much mental illness on the left, having to process so much contradictory opinions and thoughts does a dozy on them.

It's hard, because most people just don't care. Hell, my own roommate tells me he "doesn't have time" whenever I start to talk political with him. Head in the sand - goes to work then drinks during every other hour of the day in front of the TV yet "no time" for the real world. Pisses me off so much! What has become of the American people? After decades of demoralization I suppose it's understandable but I miss when men were more involved in the world and not just a bunch of pussies. Where have all the cowboys gone? Ram Ranch, evidently. *sigh*
Beanie Man just had a segment on one of his shows, and while I don't agree with everything he says, it resonated with me a lot for some reason.

TL;DR - A good number of Americans between 18-35 are getting depressed, and because everyone around them are also getting depressed, they see it as a scary "new normal" now.

Of course they are. Social isolation and depression are not only inextricably linked, but both can be causative of the other.
