Amazing how all that negotiation happened so quickly. I"m pretty sure that's not how it works and departments wouldn't be able to make those types of decisions.

It'd probably been going on for quite some time, since the first time he mentioned lawyers.

At any rate, I believe he really did get away with stiffing CofC. He most likely told them the alternative is that he hangs on to the bitter end through the firing process, griefing them at every stage, while being "disabled" (certified by his pill mill doctor) and continuing to collect a salary while not working anyway.

I fucking love how his tweets are basically responses to this thread. If you tell me there is a milkier combination than living rent-free in someone’s head, and that person being a narc with poor impulse control, I won’t believe you.
Now he’s going to mix it up by posting about how “like, totally awesome y’all” he is at poker.

I mean, Rhys, you may be able to win at online poker easily again since there are a lot of newbs around (pandemic boredom being what it is). Amen to all this! A mere $40k in sunk costs for everyone at CofC to be purged instantly and irrevocably of that big, sticky turd? Bargain of the year. They’ll save that back within weeks, from no longer having to waste a micron of remaining staff resources dealing with his endless admin whinges & hassling, complaints about other staff, complaints about harassment, occupational healthcare, office resources, student complaints about the shitty calibre of their tenured teaching staff, CofC women complaining about being creeped out in campus bathrooms...

He is dumb but even he knows it would be THE fucking end if he started tweeting about the Danny thing. He knows a shit tonne of people are aware and he isnt dumb enough to tweet support or woe is me stuff, BUT he hasn't tweeted shock and disgust, either, at what his roomie was up to. That interests me.

It’s interesting. Almost like running away from one thing (CofC) is masking his running away from the other thing (a close acknowledged SM documented long term live in relationship with an arrested and charged pedophile). I suspect this pedo mud has stuck, and Rhys is persona non grata. The whiff of opprobrium coming off him must be gagging. Maybe he knows that more is coming and he’s getting out of Dodge.
