Keeping this here as its off-topic but when it comes to Calicos, Torties, and likely other kinds of two-toned cats there's actually some interesting things that surround the entire situation. As mentioned males that happen to exist with those fur colours are a genetic hiccup, a rarity that only appears every once in a blue moon in the litters of mother Calicos and Torties. They're highly sought after not only for their 'rarity' but because they're a guilt free neutering, something which a few cat enthusiasts may make mention of.
If you've never owned a cat or never really cared about the mechanics behind it all, neutering a male cat early is actually a rather huge thing in deciding their development. If done the cat will in essence never 'develop' into normal male traits. Increased territoriality, a much stronger desire to wander outside their 'territory', increased aggression, and of course the want to breed. Oh and constant scent marking all over the damn place.
Neutered males are docile, affectionate, obedient little homebodies who will make for excellent pets. A few cat owners feel bad for what amounts to making a cat eunuch, yet not in the case of Calicos and Tortie males! Why?
Well 'cause they're all automatically sterile. No matter if you leave them as is or not they'll never be able to breed and they rarely develop all the male traits properly anyway. Nor could one intentionally breed more cats with the hopes of getting more male Calicos or Torties, genetics just won't allow it.
