This post triggered a history sperg 'tism so I apologize in advance. Despite the war ending in basically a draw with little gains for both sides. The War of 1812 was a massive U.S victory that gave it the right to survive as a country. Burning down the white house and razing Washington was a massive propaganda win. But, was only a side objective of the war while every single major offensive from the British side was a failure. The American fleet even managed to tie scrape out an overwhleming victory against the Royal Navy and execute their commander when they should have lost.
Despite what the Quebecois say they're overwhelmingly Canadian and are a cornerstone of Canadian culture, it's where poutine and maple syrup came from which are important icons. Icons are super important because Canadian culture is largely tied to the laws of the country. Really limiting global appeal. As for lanaguage, Lorraine is an area of France that throughout history overwhelmingly spoke German. Yet they actively resisted German occupation after Imperial Germany gained control of the area. So language isn't always a defining cultural barrier in the modern era.
Anyway Quebec is extremely dependent on Canada, despite their nationalization of important industry. Canada has a law in which provinces which that can't afford to run themselves get money from the rest of Canada. For the last 40 years the federal government has paid out 13 billion Canadian dollars a year to Quebec, (the closest to that are the maritimes who get 2 billion) a number that's only continues to grow. So they can't afford to run their own province despite having the lowest federal taxes, one of the highest provincial taxes and half of Canada's population. Yet they think they can be their own country. Quebecois independence is a joke and its something Quebecois zoomers overwhelmingly understand. There's still a surprising amount of lolcows that come from Quebec.

That server is interesting, it's almost like being inside a living time capsule of 2015 "MOGAI" tumblr. Most progressives no longer promote the 10 million made-up genders and sexualities rhetoric anymore, after the wider internet discovered it and they got bullied so damn hard. Whenever they talk about it themselves, it's almost always in retrospect.

This is the server for the Minecraft mod, Arcana. I notice especially in exceptional modding communities where leftoids rule that pronoun roles are becoming increasingly common place. In fact such servers are the only place I've seen pronoun shit outside of LGBT related Discords. The mod itself has gone through a lot of internal shit with its dev team shifting leaders multiple times and going nowhere that information about unfortunately isn't available in public freakouts.

Yeah, and the scariest part is that the majority of the server are minors, but the admins and more "popular" users are above age... looking at their intros, the average server-wide age is about 15-16, but the admin and popular ages are mid to late 30's...
