Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Supposedly Amazon and the Chamber of Commerce are trying to threaten the state with losing business if she signs it. Looks like it will need to be Trump/DeSantis in '24 simply because Noem would be to DeSantis what Pence was to Trump, a fucking phony.

the DNC has a 8 seat majority in the US house, which isnt much as a few dems defect to vote agianst really contentious bills often. the senate is 50/50. in 2022 the republicans will almost certainly take control of both houses. the oppisition party always takes the legislature after a new president is elected. its happened like that for many decades. the fact the the GOP retained the senate for trumps 4 years was very surprising in 2018.

A theory: Noem wants to remove this "unworkable administrative burden" because it might lead to catching illegal migrants that the Chamber of Commerce keeps wanting shuttled up to the Dakotas to work in meat packing plants for pennies on the dollar.

Remember, for every genuine MAGA Republican politician, there are at least a dozen COCsuckers.

You forget: 2020 and HR1. The Dems have all the means to refine and fine tune things. And that things are a midterm which less people give a shit about so Democrats can run people without fearing resistance. Also, given how faith has gone down, voter turnout will go down so the Democrats can run pretty much anyone, even a pile of rocks. Or a rock. Singular.
