I see this meme lately by atheist commenters online that polytheism is "only" 5k yrs old as if thats a fact and are using it basically to say Christianity is so young even compared to polytheistic religions which are also "young".

That some theory or belief is new doesn't mean they are less valid that older theories. Science offers ample examples.

That's interesting to point out. You could troll someone like that by suggesting that the earth must therefore be flat because such an idea is much older than the concept of an oblate spheroid.

It immediately presupposes that God can only exist if humans believe in God, which any theist (and most rationalists who are willing to debate in good faith) would immediately dismiss as an absurd assumption to make.

That said, if atheists want to use that argument I'd like to use it as well.

I don't believe atheists, or for that matter any religion other than the one, holy, Catholic and apostolic Church, exist. Therefore they don't exist, and therefore everyone's now a Catholic. Checkmate, athetits!

You know how cancelers claim that what they’re doing is “holding people accountable for their actions?” Damnation is actually far closer to that than what canceling does. At least he included Islam, Hinduism & Buddism in that list. Not often you see left-leaning people taking jabs at religions who are practicised mainly by dark-skinned people (though IMHO, Hinduism & Buddism are miles better than Islam).

Judaism and Islam are an extremely materialistic, conqueror’s religion. No wonder woketards/radicals love them so much. Buddhism and Hinduism at least try to fulfill people’s spiritual needs rather than just promising people good slaves and good living forever.

You’d be shocked just how militaristic Hinduism can be, especially in regard to their desire to drive out all other religions from the Indian subcontinent. Maybe I’m just a bitter evangelist who is too supportive of missionary work, but there is an issue with Christian and Muslim persecution in India (even if the latter is more justified), going all the way back to when they speared Saint Thomas for trying to spread Christianity eastward.

Heh, it's almost like they've had a couple hundred years to ferment their attitudes, first the Muslims, second the British, throw in the partition and the likes. Last thing I can think of, would be that mad terrorist attack at the Mumbai station a few years back. Now, if they just stopped shitting in the streets, their water sources and all the good stuff, they might actually make societal progress.

Islam is indeed a conqueror's religion, but it's far from materialistic. The second most reliable catalogue of hadith has an entire volume entitled 'The Book of Asceticism' and includes hadith such as:

I'm sympathetic, but let's just say I'd be more sympathetic if he hadn't, in part, personally helped set the stage for what turned into that "Atheism+" bullshit, one of the opening volleys of the SJW wars.
