Considering the recent graduations, it looks like the rrat is shaping to be correct and we are about to get the new HoloEN/NijiEN.

The candidates are:
Ryuusei Nova
Miori Celesta (MyHoloTV)
Manaka Umio (MyHoloTV)
Marica Bellerose (MyHoloTV)
Maid Mint

I don't know how niji works with debuts/gen so I'm leaning more to say this is the HoloEN Gen2, only missing the Vsinger.
Has anyone here watched any of these girls?
I doubt it. HoloEN 2 isn't done yet with the auditions. I remember someone posted the Subaru clip multiple pages ago, saying that for JP they had 6k applications (chances were roughly 1:1200, 5 spots, so 6k applications), so around 1k applications a week. EN is far more popular, let's say 10x considering the size in target language difference. That would mean 10k applications every week. 1k a week can be done by one person (I work in a callcenter and can get up to 300 emails done, with a 3 minute per email allowed maximum - the audition tapes alone are 5 minutes, and the paper parts will take a few minutes to look through too, putting their per capita maximum daily output at 100-200-ish).

And the time allowed for a response is different too: usually it was within 2 weeks of your application. This time it's "1 month after audition ends". That's already weird, unless they want to stop people from doing a Nene. Aren't they also handling Bloom around this time? So upscaling is almost impossible, which would mean they're probably handling auditions differently this time.

Sure, I could be wrong, but I don't think it's likely they're all HoloEN. Look at Gen1. 3 out of 5 have no real history as Vtuber (Kiara, Calli, and Ina). They had a nice mix of talents, I'd be surprised if all 5 for EN2 come from a vtubing background. On top of one of the MyHoloTV girls keeping their avatar, so they're definitely not HoloEN2. Add that it's super statistically unlikely for an entire generation from another company got taken over, and that it's very likely to cause legal trouble (at least the girls would all have contracts for set time - and I doubt MyHoloTV would take kindly to having an entire generation poached).

Welp, I was wrong. Turns out it's just off-collab with gen2.

Miori Celesta (MyHoloTV)
Manaka Umio (MyHoloTV)
Marica Bellerose (MyHoloTV)
It was mentioned here that one of them is buying her character from the agency to continue as indie.

happy 3rd anniversary roboco

Talking about NijiEN and HoloEN audition, I have compiled HoloID Gen 2 audition timeline:
July 3-19, 2020: Audition for Gen 2 opened.
August 14, 2020: Reine's former persona announced her graduation
August 27, 2020: Hololive Indonesia announced that audition for Gen 2 have concluded.
August 28, 2020: Reine's former persona graduation stream
September 26, 2020: Ollie's former persona graduation stream

While yes, HoloID is a smaller branch, It's unsurprising that at least 500 people or even more applied for the audition. Also, it's very interesting that Reine's former persona announced her graduation weeks before HoloID's announcement. Does anyone here knows Anya's roommate?

Aqua's chat was getting a ton of spam from EN idiots, trolls, and the good-old CCPCucks. She never acknowledged anything, and then there was a discord ping.:

No tears or pleading, just went straight for the kill switch. Edit: It seemed to work.
You know, yesterday, she mentioned how in school she would finish tests really early and spend class-time just doodling and sleeping. Not really what you would expect from Baqua. These streams have been a bit of a gold-mine recently with her sharing a lot more.

I didn’t see that anyone else posted it, but apparently the Luknights got Tony Hawk to give Luna a congrats for 500k subs. And she seems very very happy about it.
Does Luna even know who tony hawk is? She's probably only familiar with him as a walking medical exhibit for studying cellular restructuring after extreme and repeated trauma. Was he one of those celebrities that was big in japan in the 90s?
Enjoying watching Coco play some Fallout 4. I am still enamored by how she translates from English to Japanese so fluidly. She is the only nonEN Hololive girl I can get into livestreams for long periods just because it eventually gets frustrating for me not understanding the others, but I can at least understand every few words from Coco.

...Well, and Elite Miko, but come the fuck on, you don't need English to enjoy the Shrine Maiden.
I would say Pikamee is a little easier to understand than Coco, whose accent is some combination of southern mickey mouse parrot on drugs. Its like her IQ drops 50 points when she switches from japanese to english

Uh.....ever heard of Tony Hawk games? Very popular worldwide, especially its PS1-2 games. Even random third world countries knows who Tony Hawk is, let alone Japan.

Yeah and those games had a window where they were popular and luna may or may not have played those games in that window. it just seems like a weird choice for a shoutout gift compared to michael's voice actor for miko.

I watched Mint a couple months back, and I found her kind of boring. She has a voice like Gura’s, but she doesn’t talk as much and I didn’t think she had anything that really set her apart, like say Hana‘s weird way of talking. But I do think with some work and a better gimmick she could get there.

Lulu shows up on Honhima anime again but adamantly refused to make a peep on her own channel, it's been more than a month already.

Also Yashiro appears on his daughter anime now. The rest of Dokuzuhonsha is an eventuality,

The holo girls solving a murder mystery at the hot spring. It's pretty entertaining if you're into trpg.

One of them is not like the other

I really wish there were translation clips from their TRPG games, especially the Call of Cthulu one with Watame, Roboco and Towa. I'll probably just end up watching it with the shitty auto-translation CC's though. Like I think the only clip out there is from them screwing around a bit before they actually start.

I agree, I really want to see it. It was such a weird out of left field collab, does Chaosium even have a JP branch?
