"Coming soon to the Rooster Teeth site, have you ever wanted to know and SEE more about the women of RT? Well your in luck every Sunday we will review the OnlyFans account of a different "lady" of RT! So see you March 21st for .... RT HOLES...... hosted by Bernie Burns."

Michael just sent me a nude I didn't ask for. How gross, he needs to be cancelled!!!

Okay, now that I'm done losing my shit at this image, I just want to really appreciate the effort (or lack thereof) put into this. The bloom filter put over it is probably meant to partially cover up the seam of the photoshop, but all it does is make him look like he's fucking irradiated, and I can't get over the idea of him just naturally producing light because of how fucking pasty white he is. Someone needs to frame this shit.

Kdins in the ER for surgery. Also "she's" mad because people assumed it was an emergency GRS lol

Folks has really turned into one of those words that make my eyes roll involuntarily. Goes without saying, but Kdin is a fucking idiot. It's not so much a trans/cis issue as it is the platform. Of course the virtue signaling dipshits on Twitter are going to fall all over themselves to congratulate people for gender reassignment bullshit whether it makes sense or not.

Also, Michael and his brother have really let themselves go.

Had a small worry about Griffith making armature porn and her living condition with Milli but Milli has made Instagram posts recently about living with Geoff, so she does have safe (safeish?) housing she can stay in.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, this might be a really hot take.

The reason Rooster Teeth is failing to retain old users bring in new users is because they've gotten really bad at recruiting since the LP Family fiasco. At least from the Achievement Hunter side. When the LP family started, I'd never heard of Cow Chop/The Creatures, Funhaus/Inside Gaming. I had barely any exposure to ScrewAttack outside of their clickbaity videos (Top 10, Death Battle), and I'd never heard about Steven Suptic's Alternative Lifestyle/Sugar Pine 7. Although the collaborations between the groups failed, they brought in a LOT of different styles into the mix that had their own channels and communities.

I went of to binge most of The Creatures content, watched all of CowChop & FunHaus until their own downfall, watched all of Sugar Pine 7, and watched most of Screw Attack/Game Attack until that whole brand dissolved and split off.

The only thing they've done since the failed launch of the Let's Play family is partner with Yoggscast and Game Grumps briefly and introduce new members into AH that people generally negative feelings on.

It's Miyazaki's quote on Anime declining, the modern creators grew up as anime fans and grew up idolizing the industry, so there's less creativity because they're trying to mimic what they liked when they were young. The core RT and AH members had lives and careers before starting/joining the company and that's true of a lot of the LP Family, Yoggscast, Game Grumps, and even the new hot things like Hololive (A majority of the women are in their late 20's to mid 30's). They all grew up before Machinma, or Let's Plays, or even YouTube and Twitch existed so they had their own life experiences that shaped them.

Some companies, like Yoggscast do a good job at introducing the younger people who watched them into the company without changing their style. Other companies like Hololive do a really great job at just hiring some of the right people for the job so you get teenagers and older women blending mostly seamlessly together to make good content.

Then there's Rooster Teeth. They've been sold two or three times now and I think they're in the same boat as Twitch cooperate where they are more concerned about looking woke, than being woke. You can still be funny without slurs, homophobia, and racism but RT seems to just be hiring the most "Brand Friendly" people without accounting for how actually entertaining they are.

The LP family definitely sucked. Remember when they would push the other channels' let's plays on the main LP channel and they just failed miserably? iirc only FunHaus could break 100k on a good day.

I agree on the point that the people that made up AH all had unique perspectives/backgrounds that informed their humor. Now, not only can they not seem to find people with interesting backgrounds, the OG members seem to have gotten less interesting as well. Go back in the old AH videos and everyone talks in their own way, with a distinct voice, regionalisms, etc. Go to the new videos and they're obviously still individuals, but their language is a lot more samey, and all their jokes are the same. Part of that is from developing a rapport and working in the same environment for years, so maybe it was just inevitable. But it really doesn't help that they also talk like robots on social media/about certain issues. Their twitters just read like PR speak, or generic moral outrage.

Yeah. I understand that you can't get away with shit that was acceptable even five years ago. I may hate that it's the case, but I'm not going to begrudge a channel for adapting to the times. The people are just a lot less funny.

Am I alone in feeling like culture has been so homogenized that everyone sounds the same? I mean this in almost every way. People all talk about the same memes, the same movies, and use the same popular phrases. The best example is reddit-speak, e.g. "odd flex but ok" and the like, but some shit is absolutely widespread, like fucking doggo-speak. Politics-wise, you either have "EMPOWER 👏 BLACK 👏 CREATORS 👏" or "lol cuck sjw based CRINGE". Certainly people from similar backgrounds would sound similar to each other, but there was a lot of variation within that. You don't even have to watch RT videos to notice this - videos from as recently as the early 2010s had a much larger variety of language, where people would refer to things without resorting to lowest-common-denominator references. It's sort of horrifying, because it makes people feel less real to me. I can't engage with someone who can only speak in the safest cultural jokes and references. It feels like they're desperate to identify with something, so they just copy what they hear.

Hopefully it just boomerangs back, I love edgy/dark humor but it lost its luster to me when the ironic jokes we used to make became lifestyles for dumbasses.

The LP family was a total shit-show but it speaks volumes that more people hold the Spring Break/Summer Vacation they had years ago than anything they've done recently.

Rooster Teeth might very well end up with the legacy of Machinima soon. A big cooperate shitshow that made everyone that worked under them miserable, just over a longer period of time.

In the formers case it's because they give people room to breathe, and act more as a facilitator for people to come together and make content. Rooster Teeth (and specifically AH) shove people in front of a camera / microphone with an order to "Be Funny Dammit!", then act surprised when the audience recoils. Which they then respond to by aggressively going on the defensive, because that's worked every other time they've done it.

The former approach reminds me of something Linus from LinusTechTips said in response to a question about how the channel introduced new hosts. He said it was a minimum 12-18 month process and they were very cautious about it because you needed to get the audience used to the new host and the host used to the audience. The process would start with the prospective host appearing in the background of videos, then cameo speaking parts, progressing to co-hosting segments, hosting segments on secondary channels and then once the host and the audience were ready solo hosting videos on the primary channel.

I am regularly impressed at how competent LMG and specifically Linus run things. You can call them clickbaity, or insult their humor, but they put in some serious work to the point that I will regularly check out their videos. And unlike RT, no one owns them - the founder is still there, and still has a vision for the company, guiding it with his own morals and entrepreneurship. Really makes you wonder if the Fullscreen sale was the end for them.

Ramsey is her surname, Geoff was originally Geoff Wright, then when his mom married his step-dad he became Geoff Fink, he changed it to Ramsey when he married Griffon. Since he was changing his name he also changed his middle name to Lazer.
I don't know where you are getting that from. He changed his last name to Ramsey (his stepfather's last name) long before marrying Griffon.
Wikipedia:
While changing his surname to his stepfather's, "Ramsey", he was informed by the court that it would not cost any more to change any of his other names, so he jokingly changed his middle name to "Lazer"
Also, Griffon's maiden name was O'Connell.

Could have sworn that he said it in the Season 3 commentary (the original one) that he changed it when he married Griffon, that's why his name in the credit for S1 and S2 was Fink. That would have been when he was married to Sarah, He married Griffon between S2 and S3 and his name changed in the credits that year.

He talked about it on one of the podcasts. He 100% changed it to his stepfather's name, well be before he married Griffon.

One interesting tidbit about Griffon is that Griffon is not her given name:
Ramsey has stated that Griffon is not her birth name, having legally changed it while considering transitioning. She has since refused to acknowledge or disclose what her birth name is as she no longer feels a connection to that name and prefers Griffon.

she also addresses this in her latest onlyfans post:

Yes, she has started posting. Here’s her other at the moment:

I am a lil worried about Millie’s situation. Somebody stated she is living with Geoff though, which might be better

If he changed it to Ramsey well before he married Griffon in 2005 then why is his name Geoff Fink in the credits of RvB season 1? That was 2003,

And in season 2, that was 2004

So a year later when he marries Griffon he is suddenly Ramsey. Guess I misremembered. But would he go from Wright (Dads name?), changed it to Fink (Ex-wife name?), then to Ramsey(Stepdads name)?

Wikipedia says Ramsey is his stepdads name so why the previous name changes? Unless he was born Wright, changed it to Fink for his ex-wife Sarah then to Ramsey just before marrying Griffon?
I was changing my last name, the whole point to have the same last name as my stepfather, essentially. I was about to have a daughter, I thought it would make sense for everybody in my family to have the same name, there would be like a unity there. I was at the courthouse with my wife, girlfriend at the time, and they asked me “do you just want to change your last name?” And I asked “do I have the option to change more?” He goes “you can change whatever you want, buddy. It all costs the same.” I was like, “oh, really.” He was like “yeah, people come in and change all three names. You’re not gonna be charged any more for it.” And I thought, “why not change my name to laser?” I just kinda came up with it on the spot. Then I decided to spell it like the American Gladiator to make it more ridiculous.

Maybe I mixed up Sarah and Griffon in who he took his name from? Sarah Fink is in the credits for RvB season 1 along with Anna (Matt's wife) and Jordan (Burnie's ex-wife)

I went and did some more reading (way more then this warrants) and I misremembered the timeline. He did change his name when he married Griffon. However, it was to his step dad's name, not Griffon's as you stated. He has said the reason for this is so Griffon "wouldn't be the 2nd Mrs. Fink".
