And so here we are on r/AskTransgender. Interestingly, this is apparently her second attempt at posting here; she deleted her first post after the commenters attacked her for some reason. Again, "conversion therapy" gets brought up. Troons are really conniving about this, and it disgusts me. They consider any therapist who isn't "gender-affirming" and doesn't rubber-stamp transitions to be just as bad as those electric-shock gay conversion therapy kooks.

How do you ‘mistakenly’ raise your child as a boy? And why do they speak so nonchalantly about their child walking around nearly nude? I can’t be the only one who thinks it’s weird that they let their son (prior to deciding they’re trans) walk around the house in just boxers. Is the whole family autistic? Considering the strong ties to autism in troonery and the age it's entirely possible the child has a sensory issue.
Reading the way the mother puts it this is some early ass AGP whose forcing everyone else to be involved in their fetish as well as testing the boundaries of how far they can push mom before she gets pissed off and see what exactly they can get away with. Anyone here listen to NPR on Monday (2021/3/15)? They had Chase Strangio on, and until hearing her talk it was always a little difficult for me to think of her as female. Sure, she looks more like a 12-year-old boy with a drawn-on mustache than a real man, but so do some real men. But holy shit, that voice. I kind of expected her to have a hilariously female voice, but I was still caught off guard when I actually heard it. Coincidentally one of the other "experts" on the panel was a "trans non-binary" named Katie (she was an actual woman). The third guest was a nurse who, surprise surprise, whole-heartedly supported safe and totally reversible puberty blockers. I guess they just couldn't find a single person who thought that children shouldn't transition or that men and teenage boys shouldn't be competing in sports against women and teenage girls.
Also, has anyone here watched SuperJail? It was an AdultSwim cartoon from about ten years ago and as you might have guessed from the title, it takes place in a jail. The reason I bring this up is that the security guard is a tranny named Alice. Now, when I first watched it I hadn't come even close to peaking, other than seeing a couple pass by on the street (at the time I'd assumed that I only noticed the particularly poorly passing ones and that I'd probably passed by dozens without even realizing it) so I thought it was a little mean to trans women, but not out-of-line for an over-the-top intentionally offensive show like SuperJail.
Looking back on it now though, Alice is an incredibly accurate portrayal of an AGP.

The problem with calling something a "social construct" is that on some level almost anything can be defined as a social construct. It's kind of my go-to, but tallness is a real quantifiable thing, but is also a social construct.
Almost everything is defined in specific contexts and loses meaning when put into other contexts and while the appropriate context usually makes sense, even that is based on our own minds and it's hard (in fact impossible) to figure out what human concepts are or are not social constructs.
So yes, gender is a social construct, and some people conclude that that makes it meaningless. Others assume that because you think that gender is a social construct you must think that gender is meaningless or otherwise unquantifiable.

You'll have trouble finding stuff on HRT for teens, but there's a good amount of stuff on GnRH agonists, but only if you specifically avoid the trans-related stuff. It used to be given to children suffering from precocious puberty (or some girls who stopped getting taller too young) and it ended up being a huge disaster and we have plenty of studies and documentation of those cases.

Lupron lawsuits are currently on an individual basis and like most personal injury cases, are settled out of court.
I want to note that it took 2 waves of class action lawsuits against Big Tobacco before the lung disease-smoking link was acknowledged, and 5 waves of class actions later the breast implant companies have still not admitted silicone breast implants cause cancer.

Do behavioral differences between men and women count as gender, or sex? Because oftentimes, those behaviors inform gender roles to some extent. For example, women being (on average) more agreeable than men are. I obviously don't think we should enforce the more common female temperament onto all women, but it's not like the idea that women are more submissive than men came out of nowhere.

Kid was born a boy, then decides he's a girl despite not changing his behavior or anything. Woke Mommy decides that kid's troonery is retroactive, so he was always a girl, therefore she 'mistakenly' raised him as a boy.
