Doing the Rev60 review some more and something just hit me.
Minuette says to use frangible ammunition so as to not pierce the ship hull when aboard N313. Thing is, Minuette's pistol is an energy weapon and Holiday's is an energy pistol that only fires physical "rounds" using the Hard Light principle. How the fuck are either of those using physical rounds? Better question. How the fuck are frangible rounds damaging the Leopards when they all wear body armor?
Christ, Wu, stop making fuck-ups that fucking Eli would know better than to make.
To be fair Eli wouldn't make that mistake cuz he would be using a katana and airsoft rounds.
Ummmm Wu... you got a little something on your nose, yeah it's kind of brownish. I wonder how long before these people are obligated to make some videos about how brave Wu is.
I'll bet if someone cross referenced Wu's Twitter for all the places that gave him good reviews and did an expose, it would be pretty embarrassing for Wu, as I'm sure practically all of Wu's shills were either promised payment or asspats via Twitter.
Dunno how Twitter's API works or if it would break their TOU, but someone should make a script to query the API to find all tweets that mention the people who shill Wu in Wu's tweets, as I'm pretty sure it would be damning evidence Wu hasn't earned any of that attention via legit effort.

"Frangible"? Jeez. From what I've seen of Rev. 60, wu can't resist the tendency to use as much impenetrable technical jargon as possible, whether pseudo-miltary or pseudo-scientific.
This puts me in mind of someone who wants very much to belong, someone who thinks that aping the most shallow, surface-level traits of a clique, such as their jargon, will ingratiate her into said group.
This tendency also explains, now that I think of it, her portrayal of what she thinks womankind is like.

I read the comic and surprisingly it's not bad. The character designer had obviously spent too much time on Tumblr but the story itself is pretty respectful to the original. It's not like they're going around battling cisheteropatriarchal gamergoblins or anything.
Should someone inform Wu that cultural change does not happen in the blink of an eye?
There are several different factors to how and why events occur and, while there is police brutality and racial discrimination still, there are very few events that are clearly black and white. For every Travyon Martin, there's about five different stories of "black oppression" that conveniently leave out the part where, you know, they had fucking guns.
But you know, boil down the narrative into "police are evil and the gallant SJWs are here to save the day by typing on a fucking keyboard." MLK would tell this bitch to shut it unless she was gonna do something more substantial than a 140 character pity tweet.
So, here's something that's always kinda bugged me. For all of Wu's talk of female empowerment and how she dislikes women being portrayed as shit in video games, her designs are... kinda fetishized and, well, fucking sexist. I mean:
1) Long hair is actually impractical for combat situations, since it's something that can easily be grabbed and, you know, exploited. Usually averted with "rule of cool" but... ummmm... JUST LOOK AT SOME OF THAT SHIT. How much hair gel is needed to keep some of that stuff up?
2) All of her characters, with their thin bodies and weird proportions, look like they all suffer from anorexia. If you twisted one of their arms it looks like it would pop out of the socket.
3) Skintight jumpsuits are horrible in ANY situation. They don't breathe well so they get hot as fuck and their very idea limits free-flowing mobility, so you are fucked beyond belief if you're trying to avoid getting hit or something. This might also just be me, but it looks kinda like latex from my perspective and I think latex also has a tendency of fucking squeaking.
4) What the fuck is that makeup?
I guess the argument is that you want to make some kind of pro-feminist design that at the same time shows that the character is still female and exhibits feminine traits, but uhhhhh...

Wouldn't surprise me at all. Twitter social cliques judge you by your ability to speak the right jargon, not by your intentions. Places like these are very vulnerable to narcissistic manipulators.

That's because Wu is a male. Wu grew up male. Wu fetishizes maleness. Wu looks at females from a male perspective. I seem to recall this "male gaze" phrase. Look at all of Wu's characters. Then imagine a male looking at them. Then consider the fact that WU IS A MALE and these characters are the OBJECTS of Wu's MALE GAZE.
Consider how vulnerable Wu's claims of even being female are.
