I'm on the fence about this until we get more info, but will admit I had a major celebrity crush on Dan when I was younger, so it wouldn't surprise me. I feel more disappointed than upset.

I always thought Dan seemed like he had his head on his shoulders underneath the immature stoner schtick. Man, you're in your 40s now. You work with the biggest social justice pushover known to man. You should know better by now. Don't fuck your fans, and if you really are that much of a mouthbreathing coomer, stick to 25 and up so that there can never be anywhere close to being labeled as a pedo.

Oh yeah, you're kind of jogging my memory with that. People have been talking shit about Suzy for a long time, but none of it usually ends up going anywhere.

Toby actually made a response video with more details on how it went on his end. It’s called MeToo... Late? And everyone pretty much believed that he didn’t rape anyone, if he’d said something sooner it probably would have been alright. Someone made a blog post pointing out all the inaccuracies and contradictions in the accusations which he linked. Some desperate whore was obsessed with him and got mad that he didn’t want to date her so invented the rape story. He was advised by people around him not to address it, which he acknowledges in that video was the worst thing he could’ve done. He’s unlisted the video now (likely so new fans don’t see that immediately, and so the YT algorithm doesn’t hold it against him maybe?) but on his Wikipedia page I’m pretty sure they have it linked in one of their sources. It was a good video.

Dan could probably make a similar one and come out clean. His fan base are the type that don’t really care about pedo accusations unless they see their peers all calling it out, they don’t have minds of their own.

That's probably because, contrary to Twitter's belief, you're kind of allowed to shit-talk whoever you want, especially if it's in a personal or private account/context. That's like telling people they're not allowed to dislike something. Sure it sucks to be told someone doesn't like you, but it's not illegal.
