I'd push back on that. I think it's entirely possible to be someone with no real convections (Hunter, Xan, Faraday) and no real personality that leads to you just agreeing with the most persuasive person in the room. I'd also say that there is a not too insignificant amount of socially maladjusted weirdos on the fringe of either political spectrum, I think that the converts are generally people that just find they get banned less for their anti-social behaviors on one side as opposed to the other.

Plus add in that a lot of these people are just autistic losers without friends and join these groups to make friends. Most of these losers are going to towards people like Vaush simply because that's what is in right now and allows them to achieve the most amount of friends and people to talk to. It's really sad. However it just goes to show that the claims by people such as Vaush, Xanderhal or elsewhat in Breadtube bragging about "building an IRL political movement" is just not going to happen. Autistic friendless losers in politics communities from my experience don't like it when IRL political organizing happens because it means they can't just sit on discord all day giving stale cold left leaning takes. They actually have to do shit and pull their weight. Why do you think these people went out of their way to cause Destiny's IRL Political Stuff to crash and burn? Sure they hate Destiny but also Destiny's goals would interfere with their social club discord chats.
