Good god, this thread is getting derailed very quickly with Christian sperging. But I will say one thing: the Catholic Church is not necessarily resistant to being pushed leftward and changing their doctrine because of it. If it wasn't, something as big as Vatican II would never have happened.

Thread is derailing, quick I'll mention it's derailing while making two very serious and highly debated statements.

In short, there's multiple things that the Catholic Church can never change due to a combination of apostolic succession and scripture. The "left-wing" churches you find in the world are protestant that are self made and have zero traces to the apostles and Christ. The protestant reformation allowed for personal interpretation of the bible to be the foundation of each of their world view, and has lead to multiple issues from not understanding meaning behind scripture, or completely removing texts to fit their narrative (see the Deuterocanonical books). Every protestant church (Baptist, Lutheran, Anglican/Episcopal, Calvinist) all view their personal interpretation as the only interpretation and others as false (even their other "right-wing" counterpart churches).

To makes things really clear, these things cannot be changed:
Gay Marriage
-Marriage is only between a man and a woman
Gay rights
-Homosexuality is expressly banned in scripture and in previous councils
Women Pastors/Priest
-Impossible due to Catholic Priest being in persona of Christ. Christ is male and thus the role of priest is limited only to males.
Trans Rights
-If trans people exist, God would've made a mistake. God cannot make mistakes, as he is God.

I have a personal question for those who really follow Breadtubers. Is there a Breadtuber that isn't just some person who mistakes well edited and lengthy video as an "educated" point, someone who is just trying to justify keeping their consumerist ways going and attempting to use "The State" as a means to do so, or just a Destiny tier "Debate Me Bro" types that don't even talk about the points at hand and just attempt to leave the opponent on the defensive.

I don't know enough about economics to judge the guy, but "Unlearning Economics" is one who seems more interested in real world economics than pure posturing.

Though I don't "really follow breadtubers", I just think their drama is funny and it's a good idea to have an understanding of contemporary politics.

I agree. It's just that I'm personally trying to do my best: Being acquainted with various international extreme groups online, and my local groups/parties with actual political relevance.

Depends on what you mean by breadtubers, there's plenty of lefty channels that are run by very educated and well spoken people when it comes to economic or philosophical issues. But I don't personally consider those channels to be a part of breadtube as the content isn't similar enough and they don't pretend to be pseudo educational or pseduo media analysis channels but instead focus on getting specific arguments and ideas across in the most dry and clear manner possible.

But the one thing that does interest me about breadtube is their major figures, contra points, Lindsay Ellis and Hbomberguy refuse the label or pretend it doesn't exist. So im guessing it's not something that the more public breadtube figures want to associate with, and probably for good reason.

That is fair enough, though I notice the general pattern of Breadtube is at least the allusions to being An-Comms, when in reality most are simply Neo-Liberals who just want a far more generous welfare state.

Most breadtubers are liars with no real morals. They'll decry vaush for not having beliefs then change or lie about their own depending on the situation. When I did have a Twitter and followed these losers they would engage in outright dishonest behavior. Easy example Jack saint

Claimed to be a libertarian socialist and even posted a stupid political compass test to prove it. A few weeks later, advocates for communism in his Bon-appetite video. That's kinda minor I guess though.

Second incident that's obviously a lie is he claimed Mauler refused to debate him for months. When in reality he had blocked Mauler and refused every invitation to go on efap.

Almost all of them do shit like this. I guess that's why the bigger figures like Ellis, contra and Hbomberguy refuse or pretend like breadtube doesn't exist.

On Twitter a long time ago, it was when Mauler and cosmonaut Markus got into a Twitter bitch fight over one of his reviews, Jack was commenting saying that Markus shouldn't bother since Mauler refused to debate/discuss shit with him for months.

I should've been better at taking screens but I hadn't posted on the farms in a year or two at that point so it wasn't on my mind to do so.

E-leftists, despite believing themselves to be transgressive and forward thinking, are aping the tired content style of the center right while also being 100% beholden to megacorp tech platforms. Meanwhile, the dissident right personalities are all migrated onto censorship resistant platforms and accept crypto due to the fear of the financial system shutting them down. Which group seems like the actual radicals and subversives against global capital here?
