That shit hurt to read, but seeing everyone wake up is refreshing and gives me just a little bit of hope. Like watching a junkie come off a bender and you see that lucid twinkle in their eye for the first time in a while. Except instead of drugs it's a purity spiral which give off "holier than thou" fumes that can get you higher than a kite. I won't lie, I thought very similar SJW-esque things for years. It's easy to do; it's masked with a "you want to do/better, right?" facade and everybody wants to do better. But last year during the George Floyd protests wokies were calling for "safe spaces for black/POC folx" in public places. Kinda hit me right there: hey... Isn't this... Segregation? Will I soon have to sit away from my friends of different colors while in public? When will the water fountains be segregated again? One step forward and two steps back, I guess.

TL;DR

I have worked at female only companies and it worked out just fine. I think the difference was these companies happened to be female only. They hired who ever was best for the role they needed and it so happened that those people were all female. When your company is small and so the staff is like five to ten people, it isn't that unlikely that those end up being same sex especially when many things don't interest both sexes equally. I don't think the issue is women, more ideological idiots that think their cult thinking will make anything and everything better. The delusions and drama are pretty similar as i christian or vegan only companies

It essentially boils down to this, no matter how you cut it. There are trashy men and trashy women and there is no way around it. Thing is that when you want things to work, you go the route of Carmack saying "We are just hiring the best we can get" and things go smoothly. But when you are blinded by your desire of making everything better by having X or Y people, you will increase the chances of hiring some idiot bastard or some self centered cunt that just wanted an easy way into a job without puttin effort into it.

This is why a lot of companies today are stuck with people that they can't fire. Diversity hires are a huge drawback you like it or not.

You know, when I was in the bubble, I used to believe the left's mantra that entertainment was just naturally left leaning. That your writers, your actors, your comedians, your musicians, all of them were just naturally left leaning for the most part because of differences in culture, attitude, intelligence, and temperament between the left and the right. The more saucy leftists would suggest that "you have to be smart to be a liberal and only smart people can be comedians, therefore since republicans are all dumb they can't cut it."

After I got out of the bubble I realized that much like everything else the left does, "every other form of entertainment" just happens to be gatekept to high heaven by the left. If you're conservative, your children's books, your songs, your TV shows, aren't going to be allowed the same success that you'd get if you were "progressive."

For an example of this, look at what ComicsGate revealed about the American Comics industry. If you're conservative like @FROG, you have to go, no matter how much you sell and how talented you are. If you've got the correct lefty opinions like any number of transsexual creators that spend more time on twitter than on the bristol board, you'll be allowed to stay in even if you can barely write a coherent sentence.

That's not "comic book writers are naturally left leaning," although we're in this odd in-between state where they absolutely would be claiming that if the status quo was safe and the industry was successful, or if the status quo was solidified in some way and alt-comics had been stomped out. That is to say, if there wasn't a massive pushback right now, the "common wisdom" would be that "comic books (and comic book writers) are just naturally progressive because comic books are inherently about hope and only the left is about hope and being good people, conservatives are just too evil to write a good superhero story."

The same thing is true for music, for movies, for TV shows, for webcomics, for what have you. If you're leftist, expressing your opinions is a force multiplier. If you're a righty or god forbid neutral, expressing your opinions will get you canceled.

Just look at what happened to the lead singer of Bad Wolves and the banjo player of Mumford and Sons - ejected for not toeing the agenda-du-jour. I can't say as I especially care for either band, but those 2 got absolutely fucked over, despite all the claims that neither case was a "cancelling."

And it started long enough ago that the Matrix movies were still in vogue, and the Matrix creators trooned out HARD back then, and his take is that by rejecting normal society and embracing radical feminist marxism you're becoming aware of how the system is being used to keep you down, or somesuch insane shit that totally means they're the k-rad awesome matrix freedom fighters, right?

I have had the displeasure of seeing a number of these, the strange thing is I don't know if the comic maker even realizes how obscenely stupid and insulting it all is. It's developed from 'DA STREITS MATRIX' to like.. just pure vitriol towards everyone. Men who support feminists are now evil, righties are naturally evil, Q Shaman is now some sort've great satan, yet also transitioning people are also misled zombies.
