What surprises me most about this, and what I don't really see people mention is... how proud Tammy seems to be of him when he's retelling this story. She is looking at him with admiration. For all of her apparent hostility in videos, I am surprised by how impressed she seems to be with him talking about this.

Honestly, the fact that Jack won't shut up about politics/religion might also be a part of the reason that his channel is dying. (I don't see many actual celebrity chefs trying to make a name for themselves by prattling on about politics; they're at least smart enough not to sabotage their career by keeping their views relatively in the closet).

If that person unironically served that up during Thanksgiving, they must really hate their family and relatives a lot.

He hasn't been shy about his fake Christianity before and he's made off-hand political comments plenty of times in the past. The few actual fans he has almost certainly all share the same views based on what we've seen of them. In fact I think that might be a part of why they are still fans of his. No shame in that- Pig used many secondhand items from relatives in its first studio apartment. The main thing here is that Pig thought Jack was staging a photo op in his own house to make it look like Jr. has his own place. Sadly, Jack is such a fucking brainless liar that such behavior is not beneath him, and he has demonstrated it before.
Pretty certain Jr. is in his own place though. The wall color, flooring, and baseboards are all inconsistent with his parents' living room.

Jack's brand has become a zombie business.

Spoiler: Kind of long

A zombie business is one that is slow to make any movement. It took Jack months to sell neck gaiters or facemasks in the middle of a pandemic and when every business in the country required people to wear them to enter. Chic-fil-a is an example of the polar opposite. The owners aren't shy about their politics...hell it's common knowledge that they're closed on Sundays. But when the Pulse nightclub shooting happened, the employees were working the next day giving free sandwiches to first responders and pretty much anyone outside the nightclub. They didn't have to do that, but they did it because it was a good thing to do and it only served to promote the brand further.

Zombie businesses are hard to communicate with, if they communicate at all. Jack shutting down comments, The Boys Club, banning people with similar screennames...Jack doesn't want to hear what you have to say. He only did a beef wellington video because someone paid $5. People hounded him for weeks and he only accepted to do it once he got paid. We've discussed the Youtube algorithm at length here and why turning on comments and engaging with an audience (past talking to people making comments in a chat room) is essential, yet Jack does not listen, much like a zombie. He refused to sell signed 8x10's of him or Tammy despite a call for it from fans to the point where he was banning people for mentioning it. People were literally telling him how to make money and he not only refused to listen, he actively shut them down.

Zombie businesses focus only on one direction. Jack at one time had a successful sauce company (despite it being sugary sludge), and a successful youtube channel...so successful that Matthew Mcconaughey's brother wanted to buy it from him. Instead he wanted to focus solely on doing the channel. His supply of sauces started to go rancid and now he's trying to just sell the name at this point (since someone earlier pointed out the sauce is similar to another already on the market). His main focus has always been the youtube show and, inexplicably, cooking with Phillip DiFranco. Paula Deen went from being a bank teller who regularly suffered from panic attacks and agoraphobia to owning a multi-million dollar empire (that Jack frequents) because she was open to ideas from investors and other ventures not related to her restaurant, but still focusing on cooking.

Jack is better off shutting down everything for a few months and having a complete rebranding of his business. Only have the main channel return, with comments, and listen to people wanting to dump money onto you. We know Jack won't do any of this because of his narcissism, but it's the reality of the situation.

TL;DR: Jack's youtube channel is a zombie, slowly shuffling along until someone finally puts it to rest.
