Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

It'll immediately shame the person who asked into feeling as though they presented a question worthy of being outright mocked, and will likely persuade a good chunk of the audience into believing the same.

It's an incredibly basic tool in the "being an asshole" toolkit, and if you pay even a rudimentary amount of attention to any politician that you want, you'll start to notice that almost every single one of them does it instinctively, and especially during any debates, where you can't go so much as a single question without either politician barking out a laugh before bothering to dodge around the question.

They relaxed for a bit, but they're looking to change that now. Soon, even local processing will be made too onerous to continue.

Both times the last 2 VP debates went horribly for the DNC. Either pick a hothead like Kaine who comes off as a belligerent asshole, or they pick Harris, who comes off as a snooty, arrogant woman who gets frazzled easily. Both end up going against a man made of ice who has no reaction to anything. A fly lands on his head for 5-10 mins and he doesn't even react or try to brush it off.

Kaine made some kind of sense since they wanted to see if they could create their own Trump figure. Unfortunately, they only keyed onto Trump's dickishness, but not the issues Trump was talking about. Harris was just the worst in general. While I think Tulsi Gabbard fans are total simps, I can at least see she had more charisma going on than Harris. Really, the DNC probably would have been able to cover up their cheating with literally any other candidate but Biden and Harris.

Kaine was picked as political kickback for delivering the DNC to Hillary's former campaign manager in early 2011. That's the only reason he was on the ticket and any musing about him being some kind of Democrat Trump is just people falling for media spin jobs.
