Don't confuse what I am about to say with feeling any real depth of emotion for Chantal, but goddamn she's pitiful. Just sad as fuck to behold. Back when she started her channel, she was huge but she was still able to engage in the performative femininity that made her feel like a normal person. Hair did, nails done, the cutest fashion choices available in her size, makeup, showering regularly using fruity Lush and B&BW products. She also had contact with humans who aren't Peetz, able to speak in coherent sentences. Lost her last chance at romantic companionship, unable to put on her own socks, unable to stand long enough to wash dishes.

Does anyone think that she is able cognitively to recognize what she has done to herself? Would 2021 Chantal look at 2018 Chantal and think it a reasonable sacrifice to make, to turn 2018 into 2021 because pizza exists?

We know that every so often things mentally align such that she catches a glimpse of her real self. A fat stupid clock is right twice a day, and every so often she has frissons and sparks of actual clarity about her situation. She was never bright to begin with, but she's still an adult in the normal range of cognitive function, and so she's capable of these epiphanies, hence her sighing, defeated "I need to lose weight" video she regularly trots out. The problem -- or at least, her problem, since it's all fun and games for us -- is that she copes with the debilitating anxiety and despair this causes by gorging herself on food and transposing her anger at herself into anger at everybody else, because she's too childish by a mile to own up to actions and consequences.

She's definitely dumb, but I contend that a lot of her stupid behaviour is displaced anger and stress, and childish defiance, not just her being a stupid narc. I am not arguing that she has "ODD" and will not entertain anybody who does; batshit crazy works just fine. She's a bit dumber than before, but I think the real problem is that she's a lot crazier.

I think it's because she sleeps on her back with her ponytail in (creating the 'volume' and weird hump). The bald spots are more visible than usual because most of the hair is being pushed up.
