The Boulder Police Department is warning people to stay away from the King Soopers store at 3600 Table Mesa Drive because of an active shooter at the store.

Department officials tweeted the warning at 2:49 p.m. A public information officer was on their way to the scene. Further information was not immediately provided.

The King Soopers anchors a large shopping center in the southern part of Boulder, a few blocks from Fairview High School.

Regardless of how you feel about firearms the "wish AR15s had never been invited crowd" are easily some of the dumbest people around.

If you go by the numbers the Ruger Mini 14 was far more common in mass shootings particularly in the 80s and 90s in shootings you've probably never even heard of like the 1983 shooing in McCarthy, Alaska. It's also the rifle of the Norway, Australian, and Canada mass shootings.

More to the point, do these people think the AR15 sprung up out of no where?

The Remington Model 8 was introduced back in 1905, could accept a high capacity magazine, and chambered in a multitude of calibers including .35 Whelen which dwarfs the AR15's .223.

It's using the FBI definition of mass shooting. Shooting means someone fired a bullet and hit another person. You're thinking of murder, when a person dies.

Nope. If the media is talking about mass shootings, they are referring to incidents where three or more people are killed.

There's a reason this same info is posted in so many places on the Net.

Wow, it's almost as if the Moldy Labia/No Step on Snek crowd are a major voting bloc who are sincere in their desire to not be fucked with. Maybe you should.... leave them alone, lest there be more bloodshed?

This is why it bugs me to no end when Shannon Troughton Watts argues "you need more training to own a gun".

Bitch, we know our way around guns AND gun laws better than you and your gaggle of totally-not-Bloomberg-bought trollop Karens ever will. STFU. A liberal's opinion on guns is as valid as a flat-earther's opinion on geology.

There was once even a WaPo piece whingeing about "gunsplaining", because "the big mean gun nuts bully Gun Safety™️ advocates by actually knowing what the hell they're talking about!"

I'm sorry that the media is stupid.

These soyfilled, soulless, city dwelling, bug people, don’t give a shit about guns to learn about them, they only care about repeating the approved talking points for social media clout, and appearing smarter than they are. scary looking=AR-15

Really surprised more white people are not snapping after being told they are garbage, evil and do not matter for 5 years by the media, Hollywood and politicians.
They wont 'snap' until it's too late for them. This conditioning has been going on for far longer than you've been alive and is only going to ramp up soon. The vast majority of whites are too thin-skined and will never think of speaking up, cuz whatever they will say will get them labeled racist, a nazi, and a whole bunch of other shit.

Second press conference starting.

The first speaker said something that I missed because the fucking smoke alarm went off.

The cop who was killed was the first cop to arrive. Eric Talley, 51, 11-year veteran from the Boulder PD.

10 PEOPLE KILLED.

They described the gun as a "patrol rifle.'

The shooter is now in custody. (And he didn't fuck around on that, he said those exact words.)

They said they'd put out some stuff on Twitter.

End of press conference. The next update is going to be tomorrow.

Everyone remember that mass shooting in Texas. a couple years ago, that was really big news for about 8 hours then just dropped off the map
A manhunt is on for a gunman who opened fire at an off-campus homecoming party near Greenville, Texas, killing two people and sending 14 more to area hospitals, police said Sunday.
Efforts to find the shooter are being complicated, however, by witnesses' reticence, Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks told reporters.

"It appalls me that, as many folks that were there, (they) have not been able to give us a better description of this shooter," the sheriff said. "Due to the many different descriptions being provided by those in attendance at that party, we unfortunately do not have any solid suspect information to provide at this time."
Of course most because the media probably figured out it was a Black on Black crime and lost interest.

It started in the mid-90's with "anger management" classes where they spouted off "Nobody can make you feel anything you don't want to" and "nobody can make you angry..."

In the 80's it was "Too much red meat makes you aggressive." (Even to the point where the Schwarzenegger satire 'Commando' has that line).

Then in the 2010's it was "You MAKE people feel things and YOU are responsible, they aren't responsible for controlling their emotions" when talking to certain demographics about other demographics.

The conditioning has been going on for quite a long time.

Oh shit, you checkmate'd me...

I guess there's no way to stop gun violence at this point. We are fucked.
No? I didn’t? I just pointed out that what people have been trying for somewhere around 30-40 years and it’s not particularly had an effect on gun violence in a lot of places that it’s been tried (which are almost always high crime, high violence, high poverty inner city areas).
if you have a better idea I’m all ears, but I am pro gun and pro gun rights and would like do so in a way that doesn’t erode my fundamental right as an American and put me at the mercy of anyone with a gun or the police. who can take up to 30 mins to get where I am
