They should have kept the "rags to riches through crime" storyline with Jackie. Johnny Silverhand was both boring and obnoxious.

I would have much rather seen Jackie survive in the game. The camaraderie felt a little forced at first but he would have been a more interesting romantic option than the other choices, if I'm supposed to give a shit about that. Going to visit Jackie's mom would have been a lot funnier if there was a "MY SON IS WHAT??" moment in there instead of the forced sads, IMO.
After he died, I spent a couple days roaming around the city looking for something to do. Two days of unfinished locations later, I got bored and haven't fired up the game since. I think the Panam arc starts where I stopped at, so at some point I'll pick it back up and finish the game. But it just feels so empty.

Having been to Montreal, it's exactly what I expected.
Filthy city, rude stuck up their own ass people, ffs they toppled and decapitated the statue of Canada's first prime minister because he was white.
It's the eastern most West Coast city in North America.

the whole plebbit sucking jackie's dead cock is because of the VA which does a really good jooj, however romancing jackie is retarded, dude is supposedly to be your super best fren till the death and shit. during the retarded prologue you can see the animations are the same and jackie/V's relationship is basically of two people helping eachother to get out of whatever condition they are in, buying their first guns, v going buying it's apartment... you know, the prologue bits THAT COULD BE PLAYABLE but aren't and move like some fast-forward shit...

I think if they were going to kill him regardless, Jackie should have died in the second act, his death comes way too early.

They also nominated cyberpunk for best narrative. Maybe I’m of the minority opinion but I honestly didn’t think the story was good even with the prologue. The dialogue was fantastic and characterization between Jackie, that goth chick, and panam was pretty enjoyable, but the whole story was pretty rushed and underwritten with lots of details that either made no sense or were poorly communicated.keanu's inability to emote doesn't help either.

What's written is actually pretty high quality but it's pretty clear it's about a third of what was originally planned and hastily given an ending.
if anything they could also use jackie as a carrier for the chip, but noo Fallout 3 gayass sacrifice narrative had to be forced by the riters, we couldn't even backstab dex with the hooker chick even though it was implied we could, warning dex gives you some extra cash and not warning him does FUCK ALL.

eh they just recycled the witcher 3 riters if anything, it has a ton of filler though, just like in the witcher 3 ironically...

i'm with you, the story is not that good at all for a Original Character Donut Steel™ narrative. they added jhonny and the whole cucking of the character arc is just goddamn shitty if you read the whole background of the cyberpunk world, V could be easily cured of his condition because tech AND keep his soul instead of becoming a veggie with a AI in the driving wheel.
