This all goes back to that shitshow a few months ago with the Lucy un-permabanning. He taught QCS that if they bitch and yell long enough, eventually he'll cave, so they'll be bitching and yelling as long as the thread is open. It's like dealing with children's tantrums.

He's also terrified of FYAD for some inexplicable reason.

The MMO HMO? ArcheAge I think was the last major game push SA ever mustered in a serious way, and I think the fallout (I wrote a previous post some time ago about this) basically fractured anyone left that bothered with trying to organize goons. It created the current splinters you saw, some of which still operate (and have grown).

ZDR actively moderated that whole fiasco but never stopped it from happening, it was the last time Kewpuh ever did anything in the subforum, and god only knows what was going on behind the scenes.

I've been working my way through that Rome history thread and remember that post. It struck me as awkward, late, and (hopefully) intentionally goony... but not particularly out of bounds. I'm too lazy to pull examples but the thread is like a billion pages of autists, professors, and autist professors pondering all manner of stupid shit.

Some ancient dead guy accused some other ancient dead guy of mass pedoery facilitated by sucking reflex. Of course one of these nerds was gonna examine the evidence like three pages after the thread reached a consensus on the accusation.

On Something Awful, threadbans are not actually possible in the code, so the mods just ban you and shake you down for another 10bux if you make a post that violates your threadban. A Loving Dog got banned and a weeklong probation for violating his threadban, sparking an instant QCS riot because apparently people in the thread liked this guy and the threadban began one day ago as a Hilarious Joke by a guy who never posted in the thread in the first place and who likes to fill the ban list with monkey cheese Power Rangers gifs:
