Lots of kids play soccer in the US. The “12” seems too blatant to not be an age reference.

It's pretty simple:

- Annoying mods create loud shitstorm about how the admins don't protect trans people (bad pr)

- Reddit deletes gender critical subreddits (good pr for now)

- What if annoying mods create second shitstorm about "not enough being done"?

- Hire one of them that's dating all the other ones so they'll all shut the fuck up

- Ok great you're a trans woman, tick, anything we should know? Transphobes did a smear campaign about you? Oh how awful. Well anyway here's the job

I sincerely doubt they bothered with much of a background check and presumably having been groomed from a young age fucked up AC into being a manipulative predator who is able to climb the ranks in multiple organisations by lying about the past and relying on goodwill

Yeah good point - although I would hope that the furry artist isn't around children regularly enough to know that... :optimistic:

Agree with you that it seems like a reference to age, but I see it could also be played off as an excuse ("no, it's a CCFC top and number 12 is my favorite player!") as weak as that is. I still am a bit concerned if it is meant to be a reference to a (specific?) child from Coventry that is undergoing what appears to be electrocution or hypnosis, given all that we know about Dearest Daddy's predilections up in the attic of the family home.

From an economic standpoint, this was possibly the worst idea Reddit has had. They’re currently preparing for an IPO sometime this year (iirc, don’t quote me on this year, I just know it’s happening), so then deciding to do this will shatter their value
