The other paedo is the head mod of /r/lgbt, so there's no more senior mod who can remove them. Only admins can do it.

That subreddit also used to be modded by (blast from the past) Zinnia Jones and Laurelai Bailey, so it's hardly a surprise. /r/ainbow got set up back in 2012 as an alternative because of some drama about safe spaces and I think specifically about demanding everything was about trans people.

Edit: don't quote me on Laurelai she might have just spammed there, but Zinnia was definitely a mod. I think the drama was literally about gay guys saying they didn't want to have sex with trans men/lesbians saying they didn't want to have sex with trans women purely based on genitals in a thread that was literally asking that (so not even "Ugh unprompted opinions keep it to yourself") and then the mods doubled down.

This is what really does piss me off about this. Jannies aren't necessarily the worst concept to have on a site. What we are seeing on reddit though, its less jannies, and more political comissars on a power trip. Im guessing their entire job is basically deleting spam content, saving child porn to their pc's if it ever appears, and then eliminating political wrong think.

Where it gets worse is, considering the fact that for the past few years, these jannies would track people down to see all the subreddits they post in, ban people for liking a certain users content, ban people across multiple subreddits for a single wrongthink word, etc

You'd assume they would be actually doing something constructive and, I don't know, maybe making sure subs for teenagers wern't full of middle aged men larping? You'd think with all the sleuth skills they employ to purge the big scary transphobes, they could at least put a modicum of that in going after pervs using the platform.

These people are either taking part in the pedo shit, aware of it but trying to suppress criticism of the mechanisms that allow for it rather than actually fixing the problems (like the Catholic Church), or are so obsessed with finding wrong think that their ideological blinders have rendered actual problems to go well under their radar.

Its just disappointing. They could be using all their multi-reddit tracking skills to make the site safer for kids, but hay- fuck that apparently
