So as an aside, Kotaku in Action recently had one of their mods bapped by "Anti-Evil Operations" for using a "transphobic slur." Specifically, he used the term "chick-with-a-dick" when talking about a character from HuniePop2, who calls herself, a ... "chick-with-a-dick."

He approached the admins to try and get clarification on this policy as well as a list of "transphobic slurs" that they can ban the use of, but they basically gave him the run around. He then tried to escalate it to a senior community team member, and that admin basically ignored him, refusing to allow it to go past them, while also refusing to clarify anything about the policy or words that aren't allowed.

The admin in question that was giving him a runaround, refusing to escalate, and refusing to give any information so the KIA team could actually moderate, meaning the policy is actually "you can talk as long as you don't offend some insane tranny, then you're banned?" Which lead to KIA completely banning on discussion of trannies because any discussion about them is just going to depend on if the admins are feeling pissy or not?
