He's keeping them from doing what older radicals did and melt back into society. 20 years ago it was possible to be an anarchist agitator then join a banking firm when you got tired of cheap pot and trashy friends. Punks being the first to sell out is a cliche for a reason. Now, a google search will pull them up as the miscreant who literally throws his shit at 26. Many of antifa come from the almost-rich class: not exorbitantly wealthy, but their parents could provide almost everything. Now that they've reached adulthood, they're suddenly having to stand on their own, and dad doesn't have a job opening, or even friends with a job opening, for a rude layout with a degree in psychology and a nose ring.

Andy Ngo is the apotheosis of the nagging voice in the back of their head: "You won't get away with acting like this". DAs may not prosecute, but bussinesses can not hire. No matter how convenient, how useful, and how fanatical they are, nobody at the top is progressive enough to choose the turd-flingers over someone who spent his twenties working and studying something worthwhile. I only hope the CEO of Goldman-Sachs or J.P. Morgan or wherever hams it up and delivers the villain classic of "You have outlived your usefulness" when Antifa realizes soul-crushing poverty is the future for most of them.

They already know; hence why they're so adamant on failures being propped up on the basis of "compassion".
You don't recruit druggies and homeless faggots to go and champion ghetto rats and pedophiles otherwise.

However, some of them will get to destroy and chimp out, then completely live on their pampered lives with no repercussions for their actions. Him being meek, polite and mostly nonconfrontational makes him even more threatening to antifa because its not as easy for them to confront as someone who is more provocative and bold. They look terrible doing their aggressive attacks on him. That's why they go to extraordinary lengths to paint him as someone aggressive ('provectuer' 'doxxer') and evil ('kill lists for atomwaffen') so they don't look as bad.
