So back then I posted a screen cap of a 4chan anon coming out to his family about liking Gura and got mocked for it because he failed to hide his powerlevel. The recent incident with Null, albeit unrelated, makes me thing about that a lot. When it's all said and done, it's easy to say that he came off as aggressive to regular posters in the thread because he picked some literally who vtuber who appears on his fediverse and started demanding explanation. Anon's family called him a pedo for watching Gura, same shit.
However, the important takeaway for me is that you can't force your hobby onto anyone. Force is a strong words but you get what I mean, vtuber and anime to an extend, while isn't more weird or outlandish than other hobbies out there, is still a niche and comes off as unorthodox to others and you can't make somebody get it. When talking to people who share your hobbies, you have a sense of how much you can talk and how far you can go without before it start to come off as spergy. On the contrary, when you're speaking to those who doesn't, you aren't even sure whether or not what you're talking about make sense to them in the first place. Even after @moments fade pain remains saved the thread (God bless you), he only convinced Null that vtuber isn't full of pedobaits that could endanger his site, not making him stop hating it in general. It is what it is.
TL;DR: Don't waste your time explaining yourself or forcing it on those who don't get your hobbies. Enjoy it with those who do. Just so you know, you guys are all faggots and I hate all of you, but you're my kind of faggots and I will defend to death your rights to post vtubers.
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk. Here's the screenshot in question if you want to see more for yourself.

And now back to regular programing.
Kizuna got sponsored by a garbage disposal / waste management company to raise awareness about the environment. Would you live in a pod and eat bugs if your oshi demanded it?
