They did this shit for firefighters somewhere (I think it was Australia but it's been a while). To no one's surprise, it did not go over well

There was an incident in NY as well. A female wanna-be firefighter sued to be on 'active duty' despite repeatedly failing the physical capability test.
What was particularly galling was that FDNY did have female firefighters who'd passed the physical -- maybe they hadn't passed as strongly as the men had but they had made the grade. I can only imagine how pissed they had to be.

The same reason an assload of Hollowood elites still alive aren't blacklisted: notoriety and money. Hamill is Luke Skywalker and the best Joker. It goes both ways too: they tried to cancel Shatner and he still kept his image, they tried to cancel Takei and he still kept his image. Depending on how much money you have or notoriety you've earned, you can make things go away almost like magic.

Sweden was the real case where injuries and believe a couple of fatalities occurred because women screamed to be fighter fighters and could not pull their weight once they got their wish.
NYFD had another case where they were there was a non-graded test being looked at- it was carrying a simulated hose or dragging a causualty, I can't remember - and zero women recruits could pass, so it was axed straight off because it would inhibit their diversity goals.
(there were other problems with the test being accepted, but the fact none of the female recruits managed it killed it dead off).
Daily reminder that the women's olympic soccer team cannot beat highschool boys, the top tennis tennis player got trounced by a hung-over rank 200 male.

To be fair, American patriotism was made up by Yankees to suppress the other regional cultures so they could build globohomo and the Deep State without too much opposition. Before they did that it was "These United States" and everyone identified with their region of origin. So to oppose globohomo and the Deep State is arguably anti-American because America was reconstructed as a vehicle for those things in the late 19th century.

The Rangers don't count. There's plenty of fat soldiers and sailors out there, but I'm pretty sure the big boy special forces are still extremely discriminatory with who they allow in. MARSOC is outright retarded, but they can all run a near perfect PFT.

They are discriminatory about who they allow in. Which is why they have a deficit of new recruits. Hence me saying even todays men are not having a great time actually passing physical standards. They have a hard time even getting enough recruits to fill up an SFPC last I heard.
It's not that NOBODY can pass it. But a lot lot less do.
