I've been pondering all these continuations and one question comes to mind; has Chris been getting the same judge every time? If the judges keep changing out then it could have an impact on how a verdict is passed down. As much as it pains me to put it like this one of the big reasons he keeps getting shunted to the side is his favorite fallback...good ole autism. Imagine the field day the media could have if a judge passed down an actual punishment like jail time to someone like Chris, especially with all the shit he's doing now. Let's not forget that Michael Snyder just up and vanished after getting his medical bills paid off in exchange for not pressing full charges against Chris so he wouldn't have a felony on his record. I wouldn't be surprised if Snyders lawyer actually suggested that to him simply to avoid the kind of crap that could follow in picking on a poor, helpless autistic adult like Chris. Even after the case I'm sure Chris and Barb went on a smear campaign and there's a good chance, and I only use this for a lack of a better term, he was run out of town.

Now all this is just speculation on my part. I'm no expert on the legal system but I'll be damned if Chris getting handed a real punishment wouldn't turn into the SJW event of the year; now imagine you're in that judges chair and not wanting to get dragged into the limelight because some tranny tard maces a gamestop employee.

I believe so. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Rammspieler said the judge this time was a man, and I'm sure the judge was a black woman in one of them, so, yeah.

So far, all these preliminary hearings have been on a Thursday at 9:30 a.m.

And if you go to the Albemarle General District court schedule page, you'll note Thursday at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. is specifically for felony case preliminary hearings.

That's a set court day and judges rotate into and out of it.

So part of the reason it's not been a big deal for continuance after continuance to be granted is that all the court personnel are already there that day for other cases. Chris's is just one.

If and when the case gets into the part of the process where everyone has to show up just for Chris, they'll be a lot more sparing in such delays. There will need to be an actual reason for them.

Say what? Did someone tell Fatty that to make the 'tard happy or did it come directly out of Chris' autism-riddled noodle?
@Rammspieler can elaborate on the details, but I believe Chris' thinking amounted to "they are doing bad things" and "people doing bad things get in trouble", therefore "the person doing bad things (a troll) got in trouble".

This is the most likely explanation. Either way, I guess now that Chris knows my face and I'm a confirmed twoll, I have to come up with a troll persona for myself. Marvin has the pickle suit, Clyde Cash is a guido. Who knows. Maybe I'll even get my own minor saga?

I'm not sure the media would particularly care based on his autism. "Autistic man gets a month in jail for macing an innocent bystander" is not the sort of thing that would get people worked up.

I am sure a lot of people, probably rightly so, think Chris should be given a little more rope because of his autism. But I doubt many people think that should extend to macing.

There would be two things that would get people talking
a) If his "crime" were something that is minor and more directly related to his autism. For example, some security guard told him sarcastically "Yeah, you can go ahead and put your protest signs up", and then he gets arrested for doing it because he struggles with sarcasm.
b) If his crime and/or punishment were severe enough to make the news.

Basically "Autistic man commits minor crime based on misunderstanding and gets punished" and "Man who committed serious crime is autistic" may get public discussion going about autistic people and how we should treat them. But "Autistic man commits medium-level crime and receives a short sentence" isn't particularly provoking.

So, does that mean Rammspieler won't be able to go to future hearings, now that his face is known? (If, of course, he intended to do so anyway)

Only if he cares about that. There's nothing whatsoever illegal about attending a public court hearing. He just might prefer not to get doxed or whatever.

Nah, I would go. They don't know my name, I did nothing illegal and was within my rights to do so. Shit, I'll even wear blue sleeves if I have to. However I think if we finally get a team together, it would be good to have a lawsperg with us.

Let me elaborate on why the WK footage needs to be revealed:

~ It's already been hyped up so much that it's impossible not to leak. It will get out.
~ Chris is a public figure, because he created online fame for himself. Us reading about Chris is entertainment news. Chris' trial is more entertainment news. If you are reporting on news, and have footage of a public figure, release it. Just don't reveal the names of the other people in the video, and they're well protected.
~ The footage has been mentioned so much that people can't forget about it. If it were intended to be hidden, it shouldn't have been talked about. People are bragging about having seen it. That's rude. Release the video.
~ Blur faces if you're so scared?

Long time follower of Christine, first time commenter. I signed up to make this comment because although I am not a lawyer, I do have some knowledge of how the legal system works due to my job. The process does vary a bit from state to state but the structure is more or less the same because of the constitution.

Anyway, these continuances are totally normal. Basically what happens at these initial hearings is the judge wants to know two things. First, do you know what you want to plead and second, has your lawyer met with the prosecutor. Chris has probably entered a not guilty plea at this stage of the game, but that does not mean it is his final plea. The judge needs to give the defense adequate time to review the prosecutions case so that they can have a complete and informed game plan. It is completely normal for there to be several continuances, especially in a case like this. Eventually a final plea needs to be entered, and both the defense and prosecutor will work to ensure that the process does keep moving along, albeit with all the i's dotted and all the t's crossed.

Now, since Chris is clearly not a normally functioning member of society, which will be totally obvious to anyone involved, there is a bit more to take into consideration. This is totally speculation but I imagine what's going on, and why there has been an extra month added to this continuance compared to what the time frames of the other ones was, is that the judge wants to ensure that Chris is examined by a mental health professional. This is very important in considering what to do with him from a legal point of view.

Chris's case is only really interesting to us on the internet, but I guarantee that individuals such as Chris have entered this judge's court room before, and that he has seen similar situations. Individuals with autism, especially those with the grade A enablers that Chris has been surrounded with all his life, do sometimes find themselves in legal trouble because they don't know how to function in society. There is really nothing special or unique about Chris from a legal perspective, and things are proceeding more or less as they would in a case like this.

Oh yeah, I've just looked into it further and watched the unedited court footage. Now that's a more of a pickle indeed.
The mystery of her identity continues.
define pickle.
We can now conclude it is not Rocky. It is some type of "reporter".
Can someone at least confirm that she works for a legit source and not some rag or web blog?

Reporters covering Chris get kid-glove handling, but a reporter covering Jace got the full-frontal net-troll treatment. And lulz were had.
