Botan is live with her gamepass shillstream. Will be interesting to see what she plays. I would say it would be fun to see her play Hellblade but to my knowledge it doesn't have Jap dub or sub since trying to dub or sub that game would be a nightmare as it has people talking at all time with overlapping dialogue.

I like the new one that seems to be Nyanners-inspired more than the one she had toward latter part of 2020, mostly because the new one she does a lot of faces that come out looking like derp faces, especially when she collabs with other vtubers and tries to look around. I think it's kinda tricky for her to get the tracking stuff really accurate because she already has shit like oxygen tanks tied to her, so that may be why sometimes it looks like her face sticks like it does.

Edit - rewatching the Mel/Merry/Lumi collab. Holy shit this Euro pair might be my favorite collab I've seen Mel involved with and it started out looking bad because their game got fucked up so it was essentially a multi-hour impromptu chill chat stream. Lumi's high energy, Mel's galaxy brain and Merry's dry humor made it perfect.

The reason you see 'Nyanners-inspired' is because they're sisters - the same artist did Nyanners and Ironmouse's new 2d, though if you look closely there's been some adjustment to deal with the weirdness it had (especially with the eyes) day 1. Also Melly and Lumi exchanging cute noises was great

The theory on the book of Otaku Database Animal make it sounds like they like it purely for the simulacra to fill their empty life, consuming works with database that works similarly like tropes and the like. If anything, I think it has something to do with how the Shinto faith put purity above all, and perhaps the perceived innocence of shota and loli attracts the subconsciouness of the japanese that's rooted on the Shinto belief

Botan seems to be great at the active reload. Still makes me sad that more games didn't steal that mechanic, it's an amazing idea but much like Halo most other devs got the wrong idea about which mechanics to steal.

That's pretty unfortunate too since she need another permission if she want to play another game. Well I'm gonna see this as positive side, this is also open some way to play Xbox game like Sea Of Thieves or Halo (even Calli and Ame already play it). I actually want to see Botan play SoT with her genmate and make them panic when they meet megalodon.
