I think the deals with vtubers/agencies were made way before they exploded in popularity outside Japan, so their presence isn't as pronounced as vtuber fans would like to.

I think that's just Neptunia games being shit. Everything about them could be described as a barebones implementation of something and I'm not surprised that this is the end product after months of hype. Neptunia's main selling points have always been memes and porn, and the video game format is just a vehicle to deliver these two.

I think that's just Neptunia games being shit. Everything about them could be described as a barebones implementation of something and I'm not surprised that this is the end product after months of hype. Neptunia's main selling points have always been memes and porn.

I feel like id rather watch clips from people doing playthroughs of the game with the parts of the hologirls and just see how much dialogue they have and such.

Well then... Thanks for providing me with the clips, saved me searching around now. But the hell, that so disappointing they literally make a game with the title " Neptunia Virtual Stars" and all it really is short little clips nothing to do with the game. I'm glad I dropped that shit after number 3.

If you played it on PC or Vita then you played the remake. The first 3 games came out on PS3 and were remade on PC. And you know what? Bad as they still are, the remakes are leagues ahead of the original games. The very first game was made on a budget of about 8 dollars and is barely even playable.

I have looked at some JP tweets under Vの炎上 tag, but despite my shit Japanese I could understand that this is the usual internet drama: "okay, they should not laugh at doujin" "yeah but have you watched the original video, it's not like that" "it's too long for me to watch" "doujinshi already uses content without permission" and so on.

Out of a matter of longtime curiosity, what is it that makes some people act like Neptunia is the best game series ever to exist? Literally just the porn and memes?

I've failed to see any sort of appeal out of the franchise myself. I also may have mentioned this before ITT. I can't remember, I feel like it's been a while.

Listen, you will love the comfy, inoffensive donkey/bunny robogirl like many others. I like the ears, they're cute and kinda weird, so it makes them memorable. I know some folks on /jp/ used to associate certain costume and hair combos with types of stream and kimono bunny was said to be the comfiest. Oddly enough this tended to be true.
