The more I see him repeat that mantra of 'hi i'm lucas whats your name' the more convinced I am that he got that from some therapist at some point. Likely after pestering said therapist for info on how to get a woman, seeing as that is his focus. Knowing how hyperfocused he is on that and how he reacts to being confronted negatively about that focus and not wanting to lose his cooperation or have him lose his shit in the office, the therapist likely said the most simple, basic, common sense thing they could think of - 'well lucas, you could just try introducing yourself....' and lucas latched on to that cause it was from a professional
