The worst part of it is this was apparently acceptable as a project for a post-grad film and television production major. It feels more like a high school project.

This makes me think about what Lindsay would have been like if she'd had the kid. She was a much different person at that time. Yes she had some liberal leanings but was more moderate. In the documentary she's more even handed and isn't really trying to push an agenda like she would be doing today. And while I don't think she would have been a conservative, I doubt she would have been as hardcore an SJW as she's become if she'd gone through with the pregnancy.

For those of you who disagree, let me explain. First off, you have those stories of single mothers continuing to go through college or working full time careers while still raising a kid, and I can see Lindsay assuming she could be one of those women. Within the first week or two, the college workload on top of the newborn absolutely would have caused her to drop out and decide to continue on later. And the beginnings of her more leftist leanings came about while doing a film course at USC, so she wouldn't be hanging out with the same people anymore because they'd be too busy to hang out. And she also might have to cancel doing the Nostalgia Chick, a job she admitted she didn't care that much about aside from making cash, because of the baby randomly crying unless she was lucky enough to get a quiet one.

Now she needs to decide where to live. Was the baby daddy rich enough to afford his own place? She might move in with him and try the common law marriage deal, but that could end badly especially since apparently he was also a student. We don't really know anything about the guy and while I'd like to assume he'd man up and do the right thing, we don't know. She could move back to New York with Nella, Elisa and the people she did the rape rap with, but are they going to be any help with raising a kid? So does she move back in with her parents so they can help raise the baby while she gets back to work? If so, she has to move back to the south, no longer living in the left capitols of the US, New York and LA. Which means she is going to have a very different social life.

But let's say she does manage to stay in NY and keep doing the Nostalgia Chick like she did in this timeline. Would she and Todd still get together if she was a single mother? Would she go to the anniversary specials or be unable to be away from her child that long? Also, would she be drinking as much? Then you have the big moments where she turned towards full SJW, Feminist Frequency and Gamergate. With the first, that was when fears of SOPA were still around and Doug was cancelling the Critic, so she'd probably be more focused on making sure she had a wide enough appeal to have a stable income. The second happened right as the kid would be going to kindergarten. Would she care or would she be too busy playing Mean Girls with the other mothers?

I should mention I do agree with everyone who said if current Lindsay had a baby, she would ignore it and just use it as a prop. But back then? When she was more of a normal person? Who knows?

Lindsay's motivational has always been "Fuck you Dad! I won't do what you tell me!" She is the classic atheist fedora tipper rejecting her upbringing. You don't need to write a fanfic about her in an alternative universe to understand how her life would be different if she had a kid. Most women with children who skirt the edges of leftist ideology get a wake up call when their daughters reject black barbies and their sons want to play with toy cars no matter how many dolls they bought them. Unless they intentionally harm their children and promote trooning them out most mothers grow out of their college fedora tipping bullshit. If it isn't an echo chamber of hatred towards children, most women start feeling the pull of baby strings when their friends get married and have kids. Lindsay never left the atheism ball pit and has carried on her same "Fuck you Dad!" mentality into adulthood and likely will do so into the grave.

Thanks for finding that. Even that is pretty mealymouthed. I’m guessing Princess is hedging her bets if PBS doesn’t give Lindsay the boot. I’m surprised they haven’t yet as I’m sure they’ve received several complaints about it.

It was also pretty smart of her husband to want to do nothing with her social media content. I’m sure he knew her cancellation was inevitable and even if he works for Elon Musk’s Space X, their HR department is still chock full of the insufferable HR catladies like everywhere else. Keeping his distance from her online is likely what will keep him employed now and in the future.

Yeah that's just absurd. Does anyone seriously picture a Walker Brother acting like a cigar chomping pig like Louis B Mayer or Harvey Weinstein? Those men used their obscene power & influence to turn women they sexually abused into wealthy and adored icons. Walkers at their high point just could give someone a cult nerd following. And there was no guarantee that Lindsay could use that popularity to make a legit career for herself.

Yeah that rumor is from 4chan. You think people would understand to not blindly believe stuff from there by this point, but I guess not. Then again, I saw people spreading the 4chan Kickassia thread as legit a few months ago so no wonder people blindly believe the not so awesome document.
