Why the fuck is it ~30GB were all the audio files broken? They needed to reinclude the entire texture archive? What the fuck in there justifies 30GB? Whatever the fuck happened to patches patching shit in the files and how did that technology got lost? I remember days when a patch could seriously, drastically change the game and it was kilobytes to megabytes, now you have to redownload half the thing.
Sometimes I think that this bloat exists only so people feel like there's more to a thing than there really is, everything is bloated to fuck just because fuck it, why not, and it never feels justified in any way.
They patch the code but the scripts are in the same archive as textures because fuck you, redownload 30GB of data because a few kilobytes changed across 20 files.
When DLCs do come they probably won't take a fifth of the space that those patches do.
It's tiresome and annoying.
