This is so bad in every instance. From him thinking that wasting money is the only thing to do when bored to him being so dellusional as to think he made a good financial investment, all this plastic shit is the exact kind of commodity that looses every cent of his value and people sell for pennies in desperation when a real economic crisis hits. His "reasons"
- It gives you something to do
- It "saves you money" (He admits he's spent over $10,000 on Funkos) because "When you're bored you spend money. It's just what happens, but if you go Pop hunting and don't find anything, then you don't spend money." and "It might get me a down payment on a house if I sell these boys."
- The pop community is "amazing"
- It keeps you away from "bad things"
- The thrill of finding a chase. (Apparently a "chase" is a varient version of a normal figure)
- "It's a very good investment", "It's almost like a bank account for your money"
- It teaches patience
R.L Stine is jewish iirc. It is not very relevant, i just found it really funny to imagine him watching this guy's collection while smirking and rubbing his hands togetherGoosebumps, really? I get that those are probably the height of his reading level but come on. Something about it being this practically dead franchise just makes it weirder than your usual funko pop and marvel connoisseur.
I'm mean I feel like funko is worse solely on the grounds that shoes do technically have a use beyond looking neat and if the economy crashed tomorrow and people stopped buying things for the joy of owning them I feel like you would have an easier time selling your shoe collection. The price point of each individual item ceases to matter when we're talking about coonsoomers as they can never coonsoom enough. The shoe consoomers are much worse than even the funko pop "collectors". At least those are $20, these shoes can be thousands of dollars sometimes all for the exact thing you already have but "rare" because they only made x of these specifically styled ones. I'm sure there's 100 different nba players that have thousands of different pairs of these trash shoes totalling a million dollars or more. I would rather be addicted to heroin, at least they have some semblence of humanity left in them. There is truly nothing left in these mindless drones.
You can burn the funkos for warmth perhaps or you can trade your shoes for a loaf of bread. At a certain point people don't need shoes though, and most people already have enough to last them years. I'd say the shoes could be a better long term investment if you're hoping to barter with them once the end comes, but you'll have to wait for shoes to become more scarce through wear&tear and be in an area that has scarcity issues when it comes to finding new shoes (not near a shoestore). I do agree that shoes have more resale value if you're willing to find another Nike consoomer that wants your $800 shoes.I'm mean I feel like funko is worse solely on the grounds that shoes do technically have a use beyond looking neat and if the economy crashed tomorrow and people stopped buying things for the joy of owning them I feel like you would have an easier time selling your shoe collection. I'm not sure you could burn funkos for warmth at least not without some heavily toxic byproducts and even then I don't think they would burn good. unsurprisingly neither of these things would be a good apocalypse planYou can burn the funkos for warmth perhaps or you can trade your shoes for a loaf of bread. Ironically, all these items are as white as a KKK uniform. They could have at least enabled dark mode automatically.Come on guys, it’s black history month! It’s time for you to Consoom some Black history products
Don’t ask us what a pedicure kit, shoelaces and toilet spray has to do with black people, just consoom for black rights!

Shoes aren't as bad, you can wear them and they're more likely to retain resale value if you ever come to your senses. Most of them won't be worth the crazy prices they're going for currently, but the vintage and secondhand designer clothing market has always and will always be around so you'll get something back even if you have to wait 20-30 years for the style to come around again. The shoe consoomers are much worse than even the funko pop "collectors". They do, that's why AAA games are as bland and shitty as they are. Gamers are the quintessential consoomer. They have a savage brand loyalty, love salivating over shiny dangling keys, and love for paying extra hundreds of dollars for shitty figures. Even those that say they aren't go allDo consoomers truly enjoy the AAA gaming schlock they buy every year? The common behavioral cycle among simple minds of both Console and PC users is for about a few months they'll buy into the latest live service game, boast about it for a few months then subside into never touching the game again. They see their fairweather "friends" going through this cycle and join in as if to stay ahead of their cool kids quota.
if they buy one game and can actually entertain themselves with it for a few months then they are not doing that bad, at least compared with people like Cwc that are so far gone they buy dlc for games they don't even own but with vidya its a double edged sword because the time spent playing them can become and even bigger problem than the money spent buying them. Even people who pirate everything can develop a pretty bad consumption habit for videogames like the kind of neckbeards that feel they have to play every single game that comes out so they can tweet their worthless opinions into the void when to be part of the hype otherwise they don't feel as real gaymers. Same with anime nerds who watch literally everything every single show each single season just so they don't feel left out of the trending, thats just mindlessly consuming, like that vhs guy from otaku no video that admitted he doesn't even have time to watch all the fucking anime he has on those tapes.}boast about it for a few months
but there's no big difference between a 50$ sneaker and a 1000$ one except the hype. If the economy truly crashed people would still need shoes but they'd need them only as shoes so they can wear them, not as hot collectors items to display on shelves. A pile of limited edition sneakers can easily become a pile of 50$ shoes under those circumstances.I'm mean I feel like funko is worse solely on the grounds that shoes do technically have a use beyond looking neat and if the economy crashed tomorrow and people stopped buying things for the joy of owning them I feel like you would have an easier time selling your shoe collection. Comments are now turned off on the originally posted video. Anyway, here is the video where he shows off and admits his collection is worth $11,000...and its from 2018 so if anything he has more now.Edit to update 3 hours later: He is now aware his channel is getting negative comments on the video and welcomes comments for his next video:

Unless its a game with a lot of rpg style choices or playstyles....what is even the point of playing video games anymore? I watched a streamer play RE3 and was like "hm, neat. glad i didnt buy that". Most you can watch on youtube now if you just wanna know what happens.
Shoes aren't as bad, you can wear
I mean obviously but what I meant was that the price per Consoomed item isn't the determinate for how bad a coonsoomer is but rather the total dollar amount which isn't bound by how much a knick-knack costs as they will simply buy more of thembut there's no big difference between a 50$ sneaker and a 1000$ one except the hype.
That was my point. If the economy truly crashed people would still need shoes but they'd need them only as shoes so they can wear them, not as hot collectors items to display on shelves. A pile of limited edition sneakers can easily become a pile of 50$ shoes under those circumstances.
"It's been sixteen years since the end. My band had just taken on refugees from the Branchland tribe. One of their members trailed behind the rest, face gaunt and frame frail. As we neared camp, the weak Branchlander collapsed, choking and sputtering. I looked on wordless as he hacked up rivulets of thick, tarry mucus while crying to himself 'shouldn't have... I shouldn't have burnt them.' One of the younger men moved to help him, but I placed a firm hand on his shoulder.I'm not sure you could burn funkos for warmth at least not without some heavily toxic byproducts and even then I don't think they would burn good. unsurprisingly neither of these things would be a good apocalypse plan
