Wikia / FANDOM - The ugly result of giving aspies control of their own wiki websites

Seems like a lot of wikis have started replacing pronouns for characters with "they" and others have started filling in the gender/sex field for characters with alternatives to male/female/none, like adding "biologically" or "identifies" before male/female or replacing them altogether with "trans-something" or replacing "none" for living objects/robots/monsters with "non-binary".
Insisting that a lobotomy victim is agender, cringe or redpilled? You decide!

Lmao, this is what they currently have above the Super Straight page on the LGBTA+ wiki. And actually, Super Straight is a part of the LGBS community. Super Straight erasure is not okay. They chose not to place any blame on KF in this article, sadly.

Failbetter Games is helping move the Fallen London wiki off of wikia: https://www.failbettergames.com/the-fallen-london-wiki-is-moving/

We know the Fallen London wiki is a useful resource for many of our players, so we very much appreciate the work the editors put in to maintaining it. The wiki will soon be moving to a new home, and the editors asked us to share their announcement about it here to help get the word out. Though the wiki isn’t maintained by or affiliated with us, we’ve offered to cover the server costs of the move as a form of support.

Hey everyone! We wanted to let you know the Fallen London Wiki is currently planning on leaving Fandom. We’d like to explain our decision and our plans here.

We’ve had issues with Fandom for years now, and have long been aware of the perennial complaints within the community about said issues. Over the last 5 months, we’ve been working on a new wiki, with the aim of making the experience better for everyone. Excitingly, Failbetter have agreed to help with this by covering the full hosting costs.

We’ll be providing more information about this very soon, but in the meantime, you can read our thread on the wiki for a more in-depth explanation and ask questions in our new wiki Discord.

If you’d like to play around with the new wiki, it’s accessible at https://fallenlondon.wiki. Be aware – it’s not perfectly in sync with the Fandom wiki, and any edits made will likely be erased before official launch. We are planning to officially launch (with up to date content) in the next week or so.

We appreciate any and all feedback; it can be submitted either in the #wiki-feedback channel on the wiki Discord or using this form. Bear in mind, although we’ve made every effort to fortify the wiki ahead of launch, things may not be completely stable at the moment. If you have any questions, let us know. Thanks!

We’ll post another update once the wiki has moved to its new home.

It looks like the players got sick of all the ads and other useless crap they slap on those pages.

Blocked for a month for posting facts... How the hell is a joke middle name racist anyway? And if a name they gave a character was racist, that's just a fucking fact. And now that I take another look at it...
That's the same janny from the last page who globally banned the fundie without a word or even a chance to black his user page and then locked all discussions despite both fags and non-fundies saying the ban was a bullshit knee jerk reaction.

Looking into this, the character's middle name is "Shinana," so the ban is justified. But it still feels like knee-jerk ban, though.

I think nearly every Wikia site dedicated to a female celebrity is run by some weird Russell Greer-like guy. It's basically just giving celebrity stalkers a free platform to document every minute detail of the celebrity they're fixated on and meet other like-minded obsessives to collaborate with.

Shit like this for example:

In the article, they put words like "sexual orientation" and "flag" in quotes. They're seething hard.
Also, they use a random tumblr blog as a source, lol.

Unsurprisingly, the two arguing the most on there are the managers of some pointlessly weird wikis.

And this guy...
Holy fuck, he's been working for wikia for free for over 11 years on a near-daily basis? How can you invest that much time working as an editor and writer for no compensation or benefits of any kind for so long on a daily basis?
Here's Tupka's mini autobiography, if you're curious:

Wookieepedia outlaws deadnaming creators, or they were in the process of doing so before Wikia Staff came around and enforced the policy with an ToU clause.
Also, despite not being a part of Wikia/Fandom, the Transformers wiki decided to send in their little cringy army to tamper with the votes too before Staff enforced their clause.
Not surprising since the TFwiki has been ran by troons and people simping for troons since 2012.
