I'll be honest, I know the defense has said that, but I really struggle to believe he chewed that up like a sweet tart. It's not like he bit into a donut or anything.

Fentanyl is powerful as fuck. Thats why it's cut with stuff. It's about 100x more powerful than conventional morphine, because it gets where it needs to go immediately. The amount that could theoretically be on his mouth is tiny. The amount that got onto the guy who gave CPR is minuscule. Especially in the modern era where barriers are usually used.

I remember the argument framed as major seasonal shifts. Since Europeans and similar geo-climates need to prepare for winter they are more forward thinking and developed genetically to ensure survival through seasonal shifts where major food sources were scarce. Places like Australia or Africa where everyday is just finding some water and food do not necessitate such genetic expression.

This is just species specialization aka Darwinism.
