But on reddit that means your post actually disappears from view. So any redditor trying that here is wasting their time. Really the only reason to downvote someone here, if you're doing that, is because you think their post actually is dumb, or late, or whatever. Or just because you hope it might piss them off. And then there are shitrates like Islamic Content and Lunacy, where they're supposedly negative but you often give them to actually good posts.

yeah its called downvote because on reddit it actually moves the post further down on the page which makes it less visible. that doesnt exist in a forum, the negrates dont do anything except let people know what you think of a post and why, which is pretty useful overall

The fact that they didn’t check for pulse is definitely a big negative for the defense. Going to be a hard fact for the defense to justify

In one of the bodycam videos from either Lane or Keung you can see one of them taking Floyd's pulse at least twice, but this would not have been visible to the crowd.

I don't know why the defense is not objecting to people who are saying that they didn't take a pulse when they could not have seen it. Nobody saw Lane doing chest compressions in the ambo, either, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen.

And you don't get banned for using the votes, unlike reddit now. Don't downvote that promoted post, or upvote that spicy one, because they hand out bans for that now.

Yeah but, George Floyd isn't on trial here- the trial is about whether or not Chauvin did anything wrong.

It's about the proximate cause of Floyd's death, and his deliberate actions such as fentanyl chomping, resisting arrest and lying to the police all contributed to that.

So in a sense, he is.

The joke is that the crime is called "murder" which is clever in itself and quite funny to those with a mature sense of humour but what's really just hilarious about it is that if you look closely at the front of George Floyd's autopsy you can see a line that reads "fentanyl". Now, this might go over the average viewer's head as this, THIS, is peak comedy. I doubt anything will ever be as funny as the joke about George Floyd. Are you ready for this one? So, like I said, the crime is called "murder" and the autopsy says "fentanyl", which means that when Chauvin arrested him, well, I don't have to tell you...

and his deliberate actions such as fentanyl chomping
Yes, and his history, while reprehensible is a separate issue to him chomping on fentanyl. All the things you are talking about relate directly to this incident. If you were in court and someone brought up "your honor, my client isn't on trial, what does his history from 10 years have to do with Chauvin's misconduct", they would laugh at what youre saying.
