Dude, what is it about these VA's getting worse as they get more experience. It's like they've lost their passion and/or are too busy huffing their own farts instead of trying to nail their performances.
They have absolute contempt for their audience of unwashed Chinese cartoon spergs and think they deserve so much better, despite being completely talentless hacks to the last one of them. They don't even deserve any job at all. There are probably neckbeard nerds in basements who could do their jobs better than they do and would be ecstatic to do it.

They are all absolute garbage people who belong in gas chambers.

It's most likely a mixture of both in all honesty. A lot of these VAs do great work then they go to a few conventions and get huge egos as a result.

Wasn't there new YYH stuff dubbed a while back? I'm scared to check it out, did it turn out watered down too?
There were new OVAs released in Japan in 2018. In 2019 Funimation announced they were going to be releasing them subbed and dubbed soon. That didn't happen. Didn't happen in 2020 either. Wonder what happened. 🤔 Wasn't like they figured out you can record at home. Oh wait, only Vic has an at home studio. Oopsie.

So still waiting for that release. And it will be the last Funimation production I ever listen to. That being said, the Eizou Hakusho OVAs from the 90's got dubbed in 2011 and yes Chris Sabat and Chuck Huber did not sound right at all.

Chris Sabat being a fujo makes the Vic canceling scheme clearer than it should be.
To be fair, Sabat did have a bunch of half-naked male photos in his Photobucket account, so you might not be far off.

I think the issue with the second season was the fact practically everyone had to get home studios (I don't even know when/if they started going back in person), so they weren't being directed in person which did cause the dub to get delayed. That's the only way I can think of as to why voice-quality was all over the place in the second season. 'Cause they did an otherwise-fine job in the first season, but it was literally a rehash of the 2001 DEEN anime and there was more manic energy because the drama hadn't sunk in yet.

Bailey getting older and even having a kid may have affected how she approached Tohru tbh. The climax of the first season was when she was most like Tohru originally simply because she had to raise her voice more in it, but she's otherwise been more subdued as her throughout the remake. And that could be Caitlin Glass' fault for all I know (she's the ADR director). Justin Cook was the ADR director for the 2001 anime, and for sure he made sure there was manic energy put in the performances.

and the boy Vale plays sounds too much like Vale's Trunks
He sounds exactly as Yuki did in the original, Eric Vale has remained the most consistent of all the returning actors, I believe. Even John Burgmeier as Shigure sounds a bit subdued this time around (his fluttery flirty tone isn't really there in the remake), but he's still really excellent. Of the new actors, Momiji's has grown on me (played by Mikaela Krantz this time around), Luci Christian as Hiro was a great choice, and Anastasia Munoz as Mayuko Shiraki knocked it out of the park, like holy cow.

So there are still good performances to be had, it's the main cast that concerns me.

TLDR: The clinic wouldn't have been opened those days, and they had already relocated shots, anyway

We are saddened by the article that the Sacramento Bee ran yesterday morning about our Swap Meet this coming weekend, without reaching out for input from us, the Placer County Health Department or the Placer County Fairgrounds. This initial article is what other media locally have picked up and run. Our Swap Meet has been planned since October 2020, and has been publicly announced since then. We worked with the Placer County Health Department, and Placer County Fairgrounds to run this Swap Meet safely and within parameters, as we did last September and October at the same Event Center. We offered to work with the Placer County Health Department so that they could continue their vaccinations, but they had already been aware of the closure and had made adjustments accordingly, extending their hours this Monday-Wednesday instead.

Even if the Swap Meet was postponed now, the Placer County Health Department has already allocated any vaccines that they would have distributed on Thursday & Friday to their extended hours Monday to Wednesday, they have informed us.

We encourage you to read the statements included below from both the Placer County Health Department and Placer County Fairgrounds, both sent to Fox 40 today who reached out to all parties involved.

Placer County Health Department – “The clinic will be closed April 1-2. We’ve known that the Grounds had a prior commitment on those dates for some time, and so we were able to plan ahead and extend our clinic hours from Monday through Wednesday to compensate and continue to maximize our volume. The majority of appointments this week are second rather than first doses (about 4800 second, 550 first). Folks getting their second dose can schedule it up to four days before their second dose eligibility date (per CDC), and for weeks afterward, so we don’t anticipate any issues or impacts to needed appointments. We will be tearing down our setup (chairs, tables, other equipment) and will return after the building is cleared.”
Placer Valley Fairgrounds- “The Placer County-operated COVID-19 vaccine clinic located @The Grounds will extend hours and operate 9:30 a.m. to 5:30p.m. today (Monday, March 29) through Wednesday (March 31) in order to accommodate residents seeking their first or second shot of the vaccination.
The clinic – which has already distributed more than 50,000 vaccinations and helped Placer County reach the highest vaccination rate in the Sacramento region – will not operate Thursday (April 1) and Friday (April 2) because of an event that had been planned @The Grounds since mid-2020. Placer County health officials knew about the scheduled event and added three hours per day to vaccinate residents today through Wednesday, and had already planned to be closed Thursday and Friday.
The county-run COVID vaccination clinic is typically closed on weekends. The clinic will resume vaccinations 9 a.m. Monday, April 5.
Last Thursday (March 25), Governor Gavin Newsom announced individuals at least 50 years old would be eligible to make an appointment starting Thursday, April 1. Those at least 16 years are eligible to make an appointment to be vaccinated starting April 15.
We are extremely happy and proud to serve the community with the ongoing vaccination clinic, and play a major role in combating the spread of COVID,” said Charlie Gardner, General Manager of @The Grounds, formerly the Placer County Fairgrounds. “We’ve adjusted the clinic schedule to help accommodate those seeking vaccinations, while also meeting a long-standing agreement with an event organizer.”
SacAnime, a swap meet between vendors and anime fans, will be held Friday through Saturday @The Grounds. SacAnime, like all events @The Grounds during the pandemic, will follow health and safety protocols, including limiting attendance and requiring face masks.
The Roebbelen Center located @The Grounds – able to accommodate as many as 12 full-length basketball courts or 24 volleyball courts – opened in February 2020. The 160,000-square-foot building was designed to attract major sports competitions, large meetings, trade shows, concerts and other events to the region. But five weeks after the grand-opening celebration of the building, the state-ordered lockdown went into place to prevent the spread of COVID.
Soon after, @The Grounds and the Robbelen Center in partnership with Placer County Health and Human Services Department started meeting the most critical demands of the community, first as a COVID testing site – and more recently as the largest vaccine clinic in Placer County.
“It just reinforces how important @The Grounds is to our community,” said David Attaway, Chief Executive Officer of Placer Valley Tourism and @The Grounds. “In a crisis, it has truly filled a need.””

Also in the interests of accuracy, while Sabat and Liebrecht (they misspelled his name) are definitely Funimation, as far as I know Christina Kelly and Molly Searcy are mostly or wholly Sentai. The only Funimation show I can think of that had Kelly in it was Boogiepop And Others, where she was a secondary character.

Kinda sucks when the media or jackasses on twitter run their own narrative without all the facts don't it?

Sac Anime saying they can't do shit because it hit the fan the same week as their illegal convention isn't going to satiate the masses on Twitter.

Christina was blocking people who were telling her not to go. She gave up and just deleted her account.

So basically, they said they weren't going to be there anyways cause they already had planned for it to be used? Who's to say the "journalists" didn't contact anyone, but maybe this can be seen as a lawsuit chance for the con. I'm just going to assume it's all about cash and saving face when caught.

Oh this shits funny, good to see these people get a taste of their own medicine. Though idk if this Christina person was involved with Vic at all but otherwise still funny.

Jason Liebrecht deleted his tweet promoting the event (his booking agent also deleted theirs at the time this was archived yesterday).

He probably doesn't want to say anything because he's got another convention the week after. Caitlin Glass will be there too.

His shitty autotuned doughnut song. It's just his own cucky voice.

Id rather hear Manjaw scream "I got raped' more than that horrible song. Even Russell Greer could write a more creative song and I know thats a stretch.
