there already isn't much left. the media isn't gonna show you what shit really looks like. they have to pretend shit was peaceful. the popeye's on lake street is graffitid plywood on all four sides and half the buildings have giant signs that say "kids live here dont burn". there was no peace.
These are from tonight?! I just see the dates on the pics and have to ask.

I don't think so, my police scanner app isn't telling me a lot of people are interested in the Minnesota channels right now. Maybe the dates are when the files were created, and all the files were recreated today to make sure the Metadata is stripped?

can't find any pics of the popeye's. if i have time tomorrow I'll get some images of the popeye's it's definitely worth seeing. the thought that black people started rioting and immediately ran for the friend chicken is legendary.

In their defense, does no one on the planet not like fried chicken? I mean, vegan chicken nuggets are front and center in their culinary sphere.

So, as someone who hasn't watched this, what narrative is the defense pushing, here?

Watch the defense's opening. It's 24 minutes and it's worth your time.

The defense hasn't had a good chance to ramp up their argument yet. There have been 7 people who have completed their testimony in the last two days, and one of them was the 911 dispatcher, 1 worked at the gas station across the street, 1 was the MMA guy, and 4 were minors. You can't exactly drill into a 9-year-old so the defense attorney wisely decided not to cross-examine her.

The Big Tiddy Goth FF GF was just barely getting under the cross when the trial ended for the day and the judge told her to cooperate. She's probably home seething right now. The thing will start with her back on the stand for more defense questioning tomorrow. She seems like a good witness but also the first one where the defense can really sink its teeth.

To answer your question, I think the defense is going to push hard on the drug angle with a sharp eye to the timeline and to getting witnesses to admit that they didn't know everything that was happening. By the time Chauvin got there, Floyd was hulking out and everyone thought they were dealing with PCP tard strength with a side of excited delerium, but--lo and behold!--12 minutes later he was dead from a fatal overdose that nobody could have foreseen.

And to answer @theshitposter , I think the defense is pushing the "restless crowd" angle to give the impression that it was a chaotic scene with a lot of moving pieces, so even though it looks like Chauvin was nonchalant, the number of minutes where he was kneeling on the neck of an unconscious man was much closer to three than ten.

if by good witness you mean an obnoxious cunt with a savior complex salty that cops didn't let her intervene while off duty during an arrest and who didn't kmow the police had already called for medics, all the while rolling her eyes at questioning to the point of getting lectured on courtroom ediquitte, then yeah she's amazing:lit:

Da evil huwyt devils slave enforcers scared marginalized people of color as they laughed maniacally at floyds attempt to teach the urban colored youth about the teachings of god, and when he brought up the troof about the evil pale demons, chauvin couldn't contain his racist aggression and the truth being let out so he struck floyd mercilessly and started to choke him out with his knee. His fellow royal brother we see in the trial watched in horror, desperate to help but the other slave enforcers pointed their deniggerizors at him so chauvin could end saint floyds rebellion against the white demons.

Eh, fair enough. Good Lawyers on YouTube are hard enough to come by because "this isn't actual advice that I can endorse."
LegalEagle is bad even by the standards of youtube lawyers. Which is... really saying something.

To summarize the peak of his stupidity: He tried to sue the government for sending him information in a FOIA request that didn't say what he wanted it to say, so he sued to make them say what he wanted to say. It was thrown out.

If I'm right, both sides call up their pick of the witnesses and they both interview them to start poking holes in the testimony.

Here's a lawyer's take on it.

I'm pretty sure each side calls their own witnesses, prosecution is (always?) going first, then the defense cross examines the witness.
When it's the defense's turn to present their case, they bring their witnesses to the stand, question them, and then prosecution gets to cross examine them, just like the defense was able to do to prosecutors witnesses. If that makes sense.
