Ah yes, Chauvin purposefully delayed the ambulance responding to his high priority call in order to ensure he murdered Floyd. It's subtle, but you can see that as Chauvin upgrades the ambulance call to a higher priority he casts Traffic Snarl, a level 3 Cop spell, to make sure the medics never arrived in time.
A simple like can't express how much I love this post.
So here's an honorary Winner sticker since I can't give you a real one. :winner:

I just want to take a moment to note how tremendously fucked up it is that the corner store owner takes money out of his workers' paychecks if they accept counterfeit bills. Motherfucker should run his own cash drawer if it's such an issue.
I guess it's an incentive for them to pay attention, or even to prevent any collusion with "costumers".

But still, as a general thing, pretty messed up.

They said that the long break earlier was because one of the jurors was having a low-grade panic attack. This is going to be a clown show.

Didn't they determine his prior arrests were inadmissable?

They're going to admit the one from last year where Floyd was instantly non-cooperative and started bawling for his momma.

>high priority call
over a fake $20 bill?

Apparently calls where the suspect is still on the scene get bumped up in priority.

And fake $20 or no fake $20, once they saw that he was impaired and sitting behind the wheel, they had to take him in. They can't let him drive away all fucked up. That would be a helluva headline: "TWO MPLS COPS LET IMPAIRED SUSPECT DRIVE; MAN IMMEDIATELY RAN OVER A WHOLE KINDERGARTEN CLASS; OFFICERS COMMITTED SUICIDE IN SHAME."

And on edit: There's a 61-year-old black man on the stand now with a third-grade education.

I can give you a link if you want, but have you seen the video of Daniel Shaver? He was the white guy in the hotel who was given conflicting commands by police while crawling backwards on his knees prior to being shot dead by law enforcement.

That was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. It's so tragic that bad actors have racialized police violence to advance their own agenda. I genuinely think more people in forums like this would support the cause if it wasn't so explicitly black vs white.
Yeah but one crazy and fucked up incident isn't cause to think like a black person and say shit like "the police are a gang." Right now you are talking to people who don't like cops, I bet nobody here likes authority, but people - despite the language they use - are actually practicing nuance now. We did not watch that hotel video and say that there shouldn't be cops, or the ability for the state to provide force to maintain order, that makes no sense. Down that way Gay Anarchy lies.

What? Please people, if you have no idea what you're talking about just shut the fuck up. Escalation of force during an arrest has virtually nothing to do with the crime itself. There isn't exactly a "misdemeanor arrest procedure" and a "felony arrest procedure" in the course of the arrest/detainment itself. If you fail to obey commands or become combative you will be escalated upon, and for good reason. A significant number of arrests for petty crimes, or even traffic stops end up with the cops finding a gun, or the suspect running and trying to ditch a gun (at least with black recidivists they do).

I don't suppose you've ever associated with ghetto blacks? How about junkies and petty criminals? No? I didn't think so. You literally have no clue about the people you're trying to defend. They would gladly steal your shit and probably beat you up in the process, then fight the cops and lie in court when the law caught up with them. You might be surprised to hear that jail and prison is full of people who deserve to be there too. Absolutely clueless.

I don't like the cops and I've said as much repeatedly. But the reasons I don't like them have nothing to do with them arresting and (almost always with good cause) killing shitbags. It's incredibly tiresome to hear emotionally-laden garbage opinions from people who have zero experience on either side of the law, or even any relevant peripheral experience like Fire/EMS.

This is the dumbest shit I ever heard.

I worked at DD and this was the norm, not just for counterfeit bills but if the till didn’t match what the register said should be in there. It’s bullshit but I’m surprised others haven’t heard of this.

Same with the guy they shot at wendy's last year. He was drunk af, driving erratically.

Yet all the fucking bleeding hearts seemed to think they should have just left him

counterfeits are mostly bleached bills or shitty computer paper printouts. you have to be lazy to not spot them. any bill from the 90s is likely suss and everything else is going to have a glow strip with the denomination written on it.
the best fakes are movie prop cash you can buy on amazon buy they have "prop money" "play money" stamped on them.

at some point we're going to have to reverse the society slide to apathy, might as well start with the money.
