nope a few news publications hav ealready dox'd them to an extent, i know when you become a juror theres some public info recorded, but in this day and age thats all thats needed to find out everything about someone.
I’ve had a couple glasses of wine watching this, so maybe I’m in my feels- but goddamn thank you for your service being on this jury. Especially when your whole life including your boyfriend in the 4th grade can be out there. I’d act ray ray af just to avoid doing this

How would people get caught knowing about it anyways? Can you ask about it when doing Jury selection without mentioning it by name?
You can ask about anything that would prevent a juror from applying the law and following the judge's instructions. Not sure you'd actually want to ask this directly, though, because then you'd have to explain it. And if they didn't know about jury nullification, well, now, they do.

God damn, how hard is it to follow basic commands?
When you’re off your tits on fent and meth, probably quite.

I seen he did this exact same tactic during an arrest in 2019 too, I think he thought he would garner sympathy from the cops by freaking out. Didn’t work the first time, definitely didn’t work the second time. Low IQ as fuck.

Can the jury do it if they don't know it's an option? Like go through a series of actions that amount to a Jury Nullification. It'd be hard but not impossible to use if you filtered out anyone who was aware of it.

Or do they need to formally invoke it by name, so if they didn't know about it going in its impossible to use?

Very few people actually want to serve on a jury. It's a tremendous waste of time and people will abandon all dignity to make up all kinds of stories that they think will make the lawyers believe them too biased to serve on the jury.

Has the court made any effort to protect the jurors' identities? I remember something about the first batch leaking and they had to form a new jury?

Only active jury tampering by the Newspaper of Record.

All of NYT's employees should get a life sentence in GITMO for this.

I'm pretty sure if this was a case they backed the defendent on, saying the names of the Jurors would be shadowed banned everywhere. And even hinting that you had the ids of the jurors would get you kicked off every social media platform.
