Did anyone else notice Chauvin holding Floyd's hand? Seems like he held on the whole 9 minutes+ of the neck incident.

I think Chauvin has a good heart, but is getting screwed by the state/media. Maybe didn't have the best training either.

This trial is tragic to watch, regardless of which side you're on.

For those of you who have not seen this before, here's a TL;DR - Working hard, having a family, valuing religion, science, individualism, etc. is bad because it's part of white culture. The first time I saw that chart I thought it was a joke. Imagine trying to demonize an entire race and all of your reasons for hating them are things that make for a functional society.

I was prescribed Percocet for *an extremely painful affliction*, and holy fucking hell it made me dizzy and nauseous non-stop. I couldn't get off the couch or keep food down.

This is a normal side effect to opiates for about half the population. You have opioid receptors in your gut; disruption of your normal plumbing can make you nauseous and constipated. For about a quarter of people, the side effects will kick in before the euphoria, which tends to make them hate opiates. Oxycodone is actually pretty low on the opiate nausea index, so you are probably one of those people. Like anything, the effect does diminish with repeated use.

Loperamide (Immodium) is used as an anti-diarrheal agent and acts through the same mechanism. It would be an extremely potent opioid if not for the fact that it can't materially pass through the blood-brain barrier. Still, addicts use it in high doses to manage some of the physical symptoms of opioid withdrawal as "the poor man's methadone".

this is how conspiracy nuts are created. they realize that the media is pushing propaganda, but they have spent all their lives building their worldview on things pushed by the media, so when they throw out all of it and question everything they now basically have nothing left that they can trust at all. this makes them more and more paranoid, and that paranoia makes it so they can't differentiate anymore between what is indeed propaganda and what is actually real. so they start with entry level stuff like jet fuel and steel beams (which on the surface looks like it might have some credibility, especially if your opinion on the government in general and the bush administration in particular is low to begin with) and then over time they get into more and more outlandish and retarded takes
