I finished Uniquely Dangerous. I just felt the whole thing to be massively depressing. Spink seemed like somebody who could have been a great person in a parallel reality, instead he chose THAT hill to die on. I noticed the book made no mention of 'zoosadism', the individuals she deals with are all presented as having a love for animals which steps over widely accepted moral boundaries. Instead, they point out the hideous mistreatment 'normals' subject animals to whilst despising 'zoos'. It just felt like overlooking the sadists made that narrative somewhat incomplete.

I notice the zooier than thou podcast makes significant use of left wing talking points and they've adopted the fashionable sentiments of our age. They're geared towards love and universalism and engaged in a struggle against hate and intolerance. They're fighting for a place on the Born this Way bandwagon, somewhere between Desmond is Amazing and Bugchasers. They clearly feel it'd be easier to shoehorn their way into the left than it would the right. The BLM support is also interesting. I'd love to see Toggle the rat cross paths with the average inner city Footlocker looter. Or even Saint Floyd himself. I imagine the outcome of that encounter could be interesting if the person of color knew of his sexual activities.

They like to argue that their 'community' has never been so non-white and global. As though peoples issue with them was that they didn't have diversity quotas. (Sorry for the slight derail) I'm still reading the book (but I'm pretty far in - chapter 26) and I sadly got the same impression. If he never acted on the zoo shit and at least tried to just be a gay dude he probably wouldn't have been so bad. I also thought it was interesting that he had a history of sexual abuse, I wonder if he would've turned out this way if he never got diddled as a child and pretended that the pedo's pet snake touched him instead as a weird coping mechanism (yes, it really says that, for those who didn't read it lol).
