But as someone who grew up in a shitty area with a dad who worked in law enforcement, I can say that Asians are definitely the target of a lot of crimes (mostly mugging and robbery) and have been for a long ass time. You’re right about who the perpetrators are but that doesn’t fit the narrative that the media has. It’s not always inherently because they’re Asian but because they’re perceived as easier targets.
