Considering Japan doesn’t really do April Folls Day, it’s kinda neat seeing some of the Vtubers participate.

I have to disagree with this. Touhou is a video game series and that's it officially. Just because some fans made a lot of anime about it, or fanart, does not make it anime. Otherwise, my original pfp, Kirby as Sephiroth is anime, and if true, I wanna watch that shit.

Hell, the original video of "Yakuza: Like a Dragon" showing off the RPG system was 100% an April Fools joke. But the reception to it was so overwhelmingly positive, the longtime series producer (who felt the series had hit kind of a slump) said "Fuck it" and turned the game into a JRPG.

There have been some decent translated clips from the official Nijisanji account but I sadly still haven't seen anything in English about Yorumi Rena's love of old men, chat wanted her to make herself in Monster Hunter but she just made an old man with pink hair, who is apparently a "100 year old newbie hunter" and plays the hunting horn. Does any big vtuber main the lance?

I don't know what kind of loli this is but I don't like it.

Why was the chicken's Walfie so scuffed? The lines are blurry while the other 4 are crisp. Hers also spins in a jank way, unlike the rest. Does he just not like her? Or maybe he forgot to make hers and had to rush.

Also, whenever Kiara wants to change her model, she had to disappear or a standby screen had to be done.

My conclusion is that something is buggy with Kiara's model, and that's the issue that made the break so long, until they decided "fuck it, we do it with the broken version".

EDIT: Rewatching the collab.. think this is the first time I've heard Calli sound like she's actually having fun
EDIT2: I think the reason why the chicken's model was scuffed is possibly the phone (I think they use phones right?) which does the facecap and translate to the L2D is having issues. Off the top of my head, I can't think why it would be an issue now unless the chicken's phone is running out of free memory space, is being bottlenecked memory wise, or is just dying. Possible the rigging file also got scuffed otw to her. Or like @kuuu said, connection issues. Not the first time L2D become scuffed enuff they either look like shit or just had to be abandoned for a cardboard cutout

EDIT3: Watched Calli's just chatting stream. She def sounds happier and apparently its because she's been awake for abit or caffeine was causing her to bounce all over the place. Well, we know now what to give her roommate if we want some zooming

She did sound more enthusiastic than usual, while the competition aspect allowed Ame to just do her thing instead of just sitting there silently like in so many coops. So it was really well balanced and fun.

I watched the VOD because Calli streams are always at an ungodly hour for me, and I think its the first time I've heard Calli showing an emotion other than boredom during a collab.
Felt weird.
