Yes, particularly as if they secure positions of any power or influence over others or make a bunch of money.

It can be harder to vet smart BPD narcs when they are young (or you are) because so much can be written off as immaturity, youthful stupidity, etc... it’s only when the same behaviors continues, patterns repeat and increases that it becomes clear what you are dealing with. Also their bad decisions and behavior usually start compounding as they get older. Sooner or later Joe will manage to totally obliterate his life and pull down anyone he can with him.

He likes trans activism because it's squishy enough that he can make it up as he goes along. It's wild that he's only trooned out like three years ago but has become the go-to tranny quote machine for certain articles. Which is really doing him a favor, since any article he writes himself is an embarrassment of corrections and falsehoods. Coincidentally, he also got tenure around the same time.

They moved to NYC at the beginning of 2020. Berkeley's semester started on Jan 21, and in-person learning shut down during the first week of March. Joe only did that retarded "commute" for an absolute maximum of 7 weeks, probably fewer. He barely even got a taste of what a miserably stupid idea it is.

He's on sabbatical now, so he won't be feeling any pressure to teach again until Fall 2021. There is no way in hell his "commute" plan is going to work, so I suspect he's currently looking for a new job. If he doesn't get one, he'll be doing anything he can to weasel out of being there in person for his students.

I doubt he will leave academia. He knows good and well how cushy it is. There's also no way in hell his department is considering firing him or even disciplining him--one of the primary benefits of tenure is that a professor can say controversial things or do controversial research without risking his or her job. At most, his bosses are privately cringing at what a fool he is.
